Sorry to hear that. When i got my new shiny canvas....i normally heart pain pain disfigure it with perm marker with some graphics.. Also some unseens marks on the canvas. They can take my canvas and respray it but they can nvr run away from the unseen codes on the canvas.

Should of used a spray, but opted for a marker instead. Plate no. was halfway faded and was just about to re-paint it before it got stolen.

Wouldn't want to get the camo one, then worse, can't find my bike!!Wahahahao_O

Insurance due for renewal soon, looking for cheaper quotes by other companies.

I can only think of the following insurance companies covering FZ1.

1) NTUC (Cut Throat Quotation)

2) Mitsui (Current insurance coy)

3) AXA

4) Anymore?

bro, u can try AIG from ANDA (upper thomsom)...

dun bother go to AIG HQ at martin rd as they do no entertain bike insurances... hence u have to go thru ANDA...

btw, from next year onwards, AIG is known as Chartis... :)

insurance is at quite a reasonable price too...

when i getting this bike, NTUC quoted me $1100+, AXA is near to $1000 or slightly a bit more, AIG is $800+...

for Mitsui, i duno but i dun quite trust that coy...

if yes, the left is H7 and the right is H4 (from your seat)...

H7 cannot do low and high beam becus it only has 1 filament...

H4 have dual filaments, so able to...

it's nearly impossible to mod ur H7 to H4 cus of the headlight cover fitting...

but if you insist, u can... with a price... :)

anyway, if u interested to know more, 2moro i'm going to limbat place at 11am...

Hahaha...no no my friend, dun get the wrong idea, i am not so god yet to use the INVISIBLE ink. How about about burning the canvas then can see the numbers? Just kidding bro. It is written with normal ink, but it is not easily id by others that it is a code to me that may link to another clue... We must think like a thief when the thief must think like a policeman. Aiya, why so difficult? Go Ah Boy there buy a cheap cheap canvas then solve all the headache liao mah... :faint:

So did they Mad Maxxes shred up the potato into french fries like what you did to the 2 Kings years back with your MADMAX? Still misses the Vboost when you guys opened up the throt.... Crazy Kings of Drag. Still imprinted in me the nice fearsome look, esp the 2 scoops by the sides. FZ is no way near to that Ohnm.. Fated did not get that rebuild VMAX, when the shop dun take in my Slasher.. NB!. Popped my dream. :(

concept workable?

Very nice concept. It is possible. But extensive material studies are required for the brake disc and caliper/s mountings. Cannot afford to have broken disc within the wheel, will suffer bad crash. But the air flow or aerodynamic i feel a bit impossible. How they know the inner airflow sure flow into the wheel? Unless it is scooped and redirect.

What they are promoting is the load distribution now is all acted inwards onto the wheel hub, the new is to spread outwards to the external rim.

We have total 4 pots in our front wheel. Loads are shared into 2 discs to bite the wheel to halt. The concept brake system got 4 pots if their's is single pot per inner mount caliper. To have 4 calipers, means correct alignment to prevent unbalanced of the front wheel more caliper weight added, unless super strong and light weight material used. The air pressure valve need to be relocated to let user pump air & blocking the disc, meaning this will contribute to some balancing issue, (very minmal only). More casting on the wheel spokes onto the wheel means there may have more flexing on the front wheel if the rider is on the competitive side, handling may not be as perfect if to compared. Hydraulic how to go to the caliper?

Anyway, this concept is workable, just more details and research is require. Refinement is necessary to perfect the new concept. Very good idea they have. Some of the custom cycle has infact using this idea, but i dun think the caliper is build so chim as compare.

This brings to mind 2 questions:

1. How effective are the Buell's ZTL brakes compared to standard radial floating disc brakes?

2. Is the added unsprung weight worth the supposedly better braking feel/power (still unproven)?
