How's your FC like?

hmmm... wad's the defination of road hogging? :p

other than in a traffic jam situation, so long as a car, say X, is in the overtaking lane regardless of speed and there is another car behind that has the intention to pass (follow closer than recommended, flash high beam, horn, show gesture, etc.), and X does not give way as soon as possible, X is road hogging.

I was already travelling at around 65km/h on a 60km/h normal SG road. Already "broke" the speed limit.

If I were to travel any faster than that, I may get "points" and lose money too.

That driver just drove very close to my rear without flashing high beam.

Like dragonforce mentioned, if ...he could have flashed his headlight a little or tapped on his horns abit, i would have given away to him... ...

Anyway, that is over liao... I don't wish to "hog" onto this and wants to move on.

Ride safe, everybody.

Cheers to everyone. :)

no la bro... it's not arguing... it's just a little sharing of thoughts... :)

yes indeed u r fast and already broken the speed limit liao bro...

but how many times have u encountered other motorists on the road driving/riding at the stated road limit but at the right lane especially on expressway and you need to pass him but he doesn't give way? does it means that this motorist in front of you is road hogging? i hope i'm right here...

let say that u r the motorist in the front here, if u have a mirror and u notice that the motorist behind u is coming closer than recommended on a normal speed road (not traffic jam), does it means that he is having the intention to pass u and you should just kindly give way?

some thoughts here la... but i know a lot of SGeans motorists here are not having this kind of courtesy mindset... :)

i nvr give chance to these dogs on the road, that's y i alws emphasis three things that is v important when you ride on the road... u rem the three things i ever said to you? :D

btw seah bro, jus another incident that jus flash thru my mind that happened to me before...

u seen those motorists who alws stick on to the right lane no matter how smooth or rough the traffic is and they alws exit into the slip road or expressway exit at the last minute or enter from the slip road or expressway entrance and within 50-100m, they will cut all their way into the right lane...

u seen such people on the road before? then they will jus stick to the road limit as stated and drive/ride slowly without bothering if they are road hogging or not?

u seen these people at your years of riding life right?

u know there was one day when i was taking a cab and this uncle did that too?

then a biker over take him from the left and u know wad?

he commented that this biker is a very dangerous biker cus he overtake him from the left where he should only over take from the right?

i straight away scolded him cus he is road hogging!

i see the biker is over taking from the left in a proper manner, not in a dangerously manner!

in the end we argued until he keep quiet cus i'm stating strong points against him...

when i reach my destination, i jus throw him the monie on the front passanger seat and threaten to complain him to his company and TP...

but i didn't wrote in after that...

This is really hilarious. But what to do? Most car drivers tend to think in this manner: Riders = Dangerous

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Yoz, pichudot, sorry, think I have mis-phrased my sentence. I have changed my sentence. I DO NOT mean "No point arguing about it now with you OR between you and me." What I meant is that I see no point in arguing with myself on this topic about whether he should have sounded horn or flashed his high beam if he wishes to over-take me OR whether he is just plain rude in trying to "bully" us bikers by sticking so close to my "rear".

I am a peace-lover. Make love (NOT with you of cos!! :cheeky: ), NOT war. :cheeky:

Yes, it is good that we share our experiences here.

Nowadays, if I ...encountered other motorists on the road driving/riding at the stated road limit but at the right lane especially on expressway and you need to pass him but he doesn't give way... , I will just shake my head and lane-change to the central lane on my left and move on. No point flashing my high beam or horning continously at him.

Like you say, ...we bikers r flesh cover metal, they are metal cover flesh...... I just worried if I sound my horn or flash my high-light from behind, some "Guai-L@*" drivers may just E-brake suddenly in order to spike me and I will end up becoming a "Supreman" and hand in my IC. It ain't worth it. :thumb:

Nowadays, if I am ...the motorist in the front here, if I have a mirror and I notice that the motorist behind me is coming closer than recommended on a normal speed road (not traffic jam), does it means that he is having the intention to pass me and you should just kindly give way..., I will simply signal left and land change to the lane on my left to let him pass. No point "playing" with him, esp on SG roads.

Like one of my friends once said to a group of Malay riders (sorry, no offence to Malay brothers here. I am not being racist here) - If you want to play, play on NSH.. Sorry, just citing an example I came across. NOT PROMOTING ILLEGAL RACING HERE.

My friends and I were riding in a small group but most of them were riding their small "ka-tars" (X1 or Wave) and I was the one on my Fabulous-Joy-Ride. This group of Malay riders riding CL 2A bikes tried to "bullied" us by "playing" around my friends riding small bikes.

My friend got fed up and we followed them to where they parked inside the Pasir Ris NTUC Chalet, he and his younger brother went up to them and said, "If you want to play, let's go play on NSH. You guys go wait for me at NSH, while I go home now to change bike.". For the record, my friends were either riding Suzuzu Falcons or Yamama R1 as their "big bikes" at that time. That goup of Malay guys got scared and apologised to both of them. hahaha...

Anyway, no more such "jio-ing" now liao lah... Old liao... Just want to enjoy my ride and I always live by this great saying from our local "man-in-dark-blue" :

The BEST gift we can give to our family is ourselves.

I just wanna get home safely and in one piece.

Cheers.

most of the ang-mos in my company dun ride liao cus to get a license in this sillypore land is taking way too long of time and very troublesome...

and some of them will only be here for a period of time e.g a few years of job tour...

they usually come in by cab... 100% claimable! o_O

for those who will be here long term, they usually drives car...

hmmm... wad is wire re-route and FCE ah? any kind soul to elaborate? :D

Wire re-route = the relocation of the wire trees that block half the air intake ports in the front part of the frame creating more cold air intake.

FCE = Fuel Cut Eliminator lessens the sudden cut of supply of fuel when the throttle is closed suddenly thus reducing the adrupt jerking/delay in engine brake/acceleration.It significantly improves the mid-range too:)
