Hi,

Anyone ever tried using FZ6 mirrors on the FZ1, was wondering if they are compatible and if the FZ6 mirrors are narrower than the FZ1?

i will never buy an arai helmet next helmet change due.their parts are flimsy yet very expensive.one accidental drop you will see something flew out! but i had dropped my shoei from the fuel tank's height and rolled a few rounds on the floor, nothing happened leh:P. yet i ever heard seller at his shop claimed its the best helmets in the world to a interested rider who was using old shoei FF. ARai and shoei are no doubt good helmet in the market. but i feel it's the shoei that's got a higher quality in everything.and washing of cushion paddings, shoei is very simple and easy. Arai you need to wash it more frequently so that you would not forgot how to take out those paddings.

Somewhat true. Arai is famous for its side pod for breaking when taking out visor. Shoei visor can be taken in 2-3 seconds & is being used for racing team as they can be changed much faster than arai.

Shoei helmet is bigger & slightly heavier than Arai with same size as comparison.

Price wise, shoei is cheaper!! Regina carries Shoei slightly cheaper, got mine there with PSB sticker.

Anyone interested in scorpio alarm ? M selling mine , SR-i500 wif perimeter sensor .

I'm looking for an alarm. Read the info about Scorpio, anyone care to comment?

Does your's come with the model specific harness?

Buy FZ1-S lah. come touring!

Naked also can tour and looks good at the same time :) Never toured with a fairing bike as I have yet need to cruise at above 200kph :p

no lo bro... i read the stuffs... the block off plates for fz1s and the mirrors is sold separately... btw, the mirrors are of fz1n, which answer your question too... BUT... you have to change the mirror holder on the handle bar... either get it from fella fz1n bros or get it from AM...

You can't get the mirror mount from the FZ1N riders unless they change out their clutch perch and master cylinders. FZ1N has one side of the mount using reverse thread.

I'm happy with my bar end mirrors so far :thumb:

Hi guys, sorry abt a noob question here.

If I wan to buy & fixed a aftermarket exhaust (slip-on), do I still need to fix (eg PC3 etc) in order to fully utilise the exhaust? or jus fix & use, no extras needed?

get yr bike on main stand, get someone to 'push' the rear of the bike down (leaving the front wheel up in the air).

then u try to turn yr handlebar from left to right, if steering cone is in working condition, it'll be freely to move around, otherwise tie to change one.

yatz bro, rem the list of item that was replaced when you had that accident early this year? was wheel bearing or steering cone part of the item? if not, it could be spoiled due to damage or wad... cus if i didn't rem wrongly, wheel bearing and steering cone can last u for v v long...

Hey Yatz86,

- wat other bros said r some of e possibilities of wat caused e vibration of ur front wheel.

- i personally think its e front wheel balancing & e tyre pressure not hard enough.

- front wheel balancing not done properly, 1 won't feel e shaking/vibrating of e handle bar wen travelling at low constant speed of

- once 1 reach >80kmh, it starts 2 vibrate.

- y 80kmh? Its determined by e rating of e tyre used.

- my suggestion is 2 hav

1) e steering cone check. (free)

2) e front wheel re-balance. (abt $20)

e above r my personal views.

Cheers.

- yalor, steering cone & wheel bearing shd last for at least >5yrs.

- unless kena impact b4.

;)

hey pichudot,

- ur siggy beli e poisonous...

:lovestruck:

i agree...

yatz bro, i would strongly suggest you to send your babe in to HL for a full body check up... let the professionals do their work and operate on your babe if necessary so that you can have a peace of mind when you go for touring again... :)

It depends very much on the bearing manufacturing batch quality too

*************

btw, jus tell them wad had happened to your babe before... so that they will know wad to do and wad to be checked and wad to be replaced... at the end of the day, i'm sure your mind will be as peaceful as the dead sea and be ready to step on the road with us again! :D

thanks guys, will check on the steering cone and wheel bearings asap.:thumb:

last option, CHANGE A BIKE.

ok that sentence is poisonouse

************

this will be helpful if really need...

i guess that video make u want to get a new wife ?

************

- dis sentence hor, i agree.

- e feeling of riding a new or aged or accident-free bike &

e feeling of riding a accident (minor/major) b4 but repaired bike,

sure 2b very different. B it physically, psychologically or mentally.

- esp big CC bike.

:dot:

wants to change:cry:

i am using a aftermarket exhaust with no PC3 no airbox cutting ...gng on fine except for a couple of "pop pop" sound when close throttle, its a norm lah but can be removed by blocking some eh.....er....sheesh forgot the term...blocking some air tube that links to the airbox.

its said to best have a PC, dyno run the bike to yes, maximise the usage of your components

Sorry, was refering to S model. Was thinking to use FZ6S mirrors on my

FZ1S, if it is narrower. Better for peak hour traffic. Anyone know if any shop selling Ivan's FCE and Sub throttle plate?

Interest check.

FOR FZ1 GEN2 ONLY.

To replace your radiator covers and extends under your tank.

I'm making replicas of this. Original piece, price from Yamaha Canada plus shipping.... over $600... maybe $700.

My cost for a raw fiberglass piece (No paint. Have to send for spraying) = $230

This includes share price from bringing in the OEM part and also replication.

I wasn't able to provide pricing before, some time back, as I was still sourcing for vendors who could produce it, but now, I have a figure to provide you all.

Right now, I have 5 participants from this forum, including myself.

The more ppl, the cheaper it will be. $230 upfront first. Once they parts have been made and the final price tabulated, I'll return the excess to all involved. This is not a profit MO, just to make things very transparent. :) In fact, this is not an MO at all, since the original "MO" has already concluded. This is just getting more ppl into the game.

We have 5 ppl right now, so the cost is like that. If I have 10 ppl, they can tweak the cost per unit down to $200.

After this have to send for spraying and buy a few washers, bolts and plastic push pins for fitting.

Anyone interested?

I have a window of opportunity of only 1 to 2 weeks max as the original part is now in China awaiting replication. Just need to send them deposit and they'll produce the mold.

Reply me asap pls.

not sure if sponge can hold it well too....or will the damping actually be not as strong ....as its not firm fix just by putting a sponge there

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

I bought the matt black model locally from chiap lee @ 800++

I dunno why they have a closeout sale for monster tech 3 design @ USD400 + USD25 intl shipping which makes abt less than 700SGD with delivery to SG

the air in and air out i believe he is refering to the air and fuel ratio.

for certain aftermarket exhaust on certtain bikes, that process is a good to have, to ensure that your FC is at its expected ratio.

dyno run is more on customising on how you wana use the bike with different maps that you get to switch around, save fuel ? race? touring ? etc..

anyone wana add in those that i missed out ? :cheeky:

I worry about draining the battery too so wanna check with fellow riders with it before I buy.

Thanks.
