puig available locally... have you looked at givi screens? those also quite big.

just my $0.02..sometimes touring with little or no wind gets kinda boring....although a big screen is really useful when it rains

icic yah i've seen the puig ones by unique but i feel it's not stable..

when u've a whole load of wind against you it feels really tiring.. if on fz6 we're travelling like 100-120km/h then it's fine with the normal windshield.. but if you're doing 150-160kmh it's really tiring and distracting.. i can't even concentrate on the road on such wind speed against me..

i havent look at givi ones but i heard the givi windscreens have to be "modified" to fit on FZ6.

Selling Fanciful and Vintage Helmets. Interested pls Pm me!

not stable? what u mean? any tall screen will flex and vibrate at high speed.

well.. dis is up to individual lar.. can't really say anyone rite or wrong.. i used to have a skidmarx bubble on my FZ1 and that was fine for me.. combined with my jacket n fullface it was just the rite amount of wind. My current ride has an adjustable screen so sometimes it's up n sumtimes it's down.

dunno abt Givi n FZ6..mebbe some of the FZ6 riders can comment later? :cheeky:

Hi bros,i'm having some problem with my FZ1 with no error code display. here's the problem ,whenever i engage on first gear and twist the throttle, my bike seems going to die down and started jerking before moving off. i try to determine the problem myself by putting my FZ1 on main stand and engage on the first gear. the rear wheels started turning for a while and then jerks. this carry on and on.

Anyone one knows the problem. Thanks in advance.

got something like this b4, mine is due to water sip into fuel tank.. .

u shld install the model which functions like the porsche tail. at 100 km/h it will lift up stage 1, then 120 km/h it will lift up higher stage 2.....:thumb:

For Ermax, ask Pichu, I can help by providing reviews of the 2 screens I've used and currently using, I've changed from MRA's vario-touring to Puig's touring on my 08 FZ6 S2. Using my open face helmet as a gauge, here's my review for both.

With the MRA vario-touring, I can feel strong windblast above approx. 140kph, I needed to lean downwards very often. While using Puig's touring, the windblast is not that strong, I can practically maintain at approx. 170kph with a straight posture for quite a distance.

For Givi's touring version, it is much taller than Puig's and it also has additional wind protection for the hands, that is the part which you meant by "modified" and in fact, there's no modification required, the package comes with a bracket that can be mounted to one of the screws within the dashboard which looks like the one below:

see u using givi panniers.. Bottlecap asking about them..maybe u can share ur reviews, pricing.. etc?

I bought it cheap from a friend, new ones can cost up to 1k inclusive of rack. For me, it's good enough already, able to fit in my HJC FF helmet as well, stable too, went with me all the way to Phuket and back here.

Many would say go for H&B, to each its own. What I can say about Givi is that it offers all range of boxes from lowest end to the highest end and I believe it's the lower end ones that "spoils the image" of the higher end ones.

Maybe the higher end or expensive ones might not be as good or tough as other brands, that I am not sure too, but they definitely aren't lousy at all. I've survived an accident where my bike crashed & flew up and landed on its rear with my Givi Maxia, the box only suffered damage at the lock.

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

for givi screen, should ask dragonforce bro... :)

hi guys, im planning to get a touring windscreen for my fz6

am considering either puig touring windscreen, cee baileys or calsci all of which are ordered online..

have anyone used any of the 3 before.. how effective are these compared to ermax.. i've read reviews that ermax is not exactly useful in deflecting wind..

who say de bro... ermax have this "curvature" that will deflect the wind higher than other touring screens... it's quite a good piece of plastic i would say... it's not too high where u can see ur front well, and it's not too low to creates high wind blast...

For Ermax, ask Pichu, I can help by providing reviews of the 2 screens I've used and currently using, I've changed from MRA's vario-touring to Puig's touring on my 08 FZ6 S2. Using my open face helmet as a gauge, here's my review for both.

ermax for fz6 is good i would say... i dun even need to go down when i hit 180km/hr... after 180/hr, there's a little wind blast but i'm still able to maintain the upright posture till i hit my personal top speed of 210km/hr...

below are some humble pictures of my bike with ermax dark smoked high touring screen on how it looks like... notice the "curvature"...

1 more thing for panniers which is more ex? h&b or givi?

i think about the same.. i like h&b..looks more durable.

H&B junior flash / non-flash side panniers with rack used to be cheaper than givi v35 de because last time it uses normal rack, not quick-lock type...

now it "upgraded" its rack to quick-lock type liao... the price is almost the same as givi...

but! for givi, if u r good, u can get it cheaper ah AH BOY! trust me, it's the same rack... there's no way ah boy can give u a chiong piece...

Mr Exu and Mr Bottlecap, reviews for all the available windshields in SG and reviews on the boxes are out, you guys can decide better already I hope. Good luck! :)

for screens, the popular choices for SGians would be ermax, puig, givi, mra...

seldom others will purchase oversea brands...

maybe becus everyone could be thinking they dun need a really huge screen for wind blast...

something of a reasonable length would be good enough...

maybe also if the screen is too huge, you might have difficulties on handling when it comes to cross winds...

for box, there are h&b, givi, kappa, trax...

givi & kappa give a nice curvy look and maybe it will helps a bit in wind re-direction but smaller in capacity...

h&b and trax is more like squarish but can contain more stuffs...

little reviews for ya ba... hope these helps...

if u wanna see some of these, feel free to turn up for lks for the "showroom" of fazers!
