from my understanding bro, yes it makes a difference in all the items you mentioned but i'm not too sure in fc... maybe yes but it will be very minimum...

if u goes for end can only and u not too particular in the obtaining the full performance of your performance mods, a tuning / pc is just an option...

hmm.... even changing BMC air filter with no air box mod, n re-route the cables made a difference in the performance. not much but abit smoother n better in fc. for exhaust, i know nuts. wat i heard is fc affected but it is bcos of the exhaust or human factor? too smooth until throttle happy thats y high fc? :D if i decide to get the end can, it might just b the sake of getting it, then hopefully fc is not greatly affected, performance wise, as long as its smoother than stock, its good enough. i do not need that extra ponies.

any more advises? good or bad, its for learning purpose...

need riders advise!

my bike is due for valve clearance soon, hitting 40k km. at the same time almost due to change EO and oil filter as well. might change spark plugs too.

can i change EO, oil filter and spark plugs at my regular shop then arrange with HL the next day to do my valve clearance? like that should be the most value for money option instead of asking HL to do everything right?

thanks!!

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

from my understanding (again :D), u will get weight reduction if u change to aftermarket exhaust + little performance increment + of cus the little bassy in sound difference...

if u jus do air filter & re-route + end can with no other things/mods e.g de-cat, air box mod, tuning/pc, flies, stacks and all those blah blah sh!ts, your fc should not be affected much...

perhaps u would get a very tiny reduction in fc but i'm sure it shouldn't post much of a problem...

for the "smoothe-city", i'm not too sure bro... :p

anyway, there's nothing bad from just having exhaust + air filter + re-route at all...

u still able to gain something in return de la... :thumb:

have u consider to let some other shop do the valve clearance for u, n oso the EO n filter, plug change, altogether? less hassle but need to check the price frm the shops u intend to go.

its always contradicting that i ask abit of performance then worried about fc. to b frank, i'm not so into performance as in getting more engine power. the performance of my priority is braking, handling n lastly engine performance. i'm very skeptical about modding certain parts of the bike to get more power out of it. that goes to exhaust cos i seriously dunno wat will b the effect. so, i have to go on the conservative, as in mod but reversible. :D

question. if i just change end can without de-cat, does it make a difference compared to de-cat? difference as in performance, heat dissipation, fc etc... any requirement to do tuning or install pc? pls advise.

after de-cat, best to install PC as the air/fuel mixture settings will be off..

FC will definitely drop, but by how much will depend on the performance of the pipe. a good gauge will be around 10~15% drop in mileage per full tank.
