hmm..i am thinking if i should get PC V or not.

 

My fazer 6 FC quite bad..at 240 plus km, left 1 bar. i changed to aftermarket airfilter and running on leo vince exhaust, which i believe has one cat removed.. Thought of tuning for more power and low and mid range

well, had read from yamahafz1oa, pc is always recommanded cos it can precisely tune the the correct setting that we want. but then again, with just slip on, the ecu can automatically adjust to suit the slip on.

 

of cos, if i wanna get a slip on, i do hope for that little bit of performance gain. or at least smoother ride. fc wise, as long as it stays at 16km/l range, i shd b ok as i'm getting 17.5km/l n above most of the time.

 

yes, even with stock bike, it is actually recommended to put a PC.

 

air flow will definitely be smoother, and of course a nicer bass when you open throttle..

 

FC will actually depends on how throttle happy you are after installing the pipes..

mine still getting 300km fully loaded...i make it a point to change at 4k rpm...

no lah bro..nowadays i change at rpm 4k or less.. also same leh..i pump tyres once in 2 weeks. i got scottoiler but now pillion more regularly too, but i dun think that makes a diff cos my fc all the while like this.

 

SG road i go up to 120 on highway. other than that i pick up a bit from still at traffic light.

Can anyone tell me how do you properly "run-in" the engine for a new FZ1N? i.e. EO change and what mileage and what kind of EO etc..

 

Maybe it would be good if anyone can tell me the same for FZ6N.

bro, there are many ways to run-in the bike... some goes for normal run-in, some goes for hard run-in...

 

for me on my previous fz6, i use normal run-in...

intially i have mineral EO on my fz6, i jus run-in normally base on user manual change to fully sync EO at 1k km of mileage...

subsequently, i change EO every 5k km...

 

for my fz1 now, i go for hard run-in...

i arrange to tow my bike to racewerks to do hard run-in using dyno machine up to 20+ km, change to semi sync EO after that...

then i go ayer kerok the next day to do gears run-in and change another set of semi sync EO at 500 km...

then normal ride in SG road for another 500 km before i change to fully sync EO...

 

the full sync EO i use is maxima 15W-50...

 

run-in methods are the same to all bikes regardless of fz1 or fz6...

 

this is what i do to my rides... if u like, u may be different... cheers!

ok la bro... at least it's better than me... mine now is around 195 km for main tank... which is like 13.35 km/L... lol...

but i remembered my ex-fz6 can get 280-290 km for main tank after all the things i installed + panniers weight + occasionally pillion weight + right waist itchy...

i also uses 50% of my screen... small little 2 x 17" screen only...

they wanna see then they see lo... as long work comes to me is handled effectively, what can they say?

 

correct in a way as in if u finish ur work what can people say.

 

But well people would gossip around la n anyhow spread stuff lo, which i don think is nice at all. I would wanna minimise such nonsense at least in my own department

yes this is the problem, my boss sits beside me and he surfs the net too.. but he is further away from the main walkway so less pple can see his screen. other departments can see my screen the moment they walk out to other places or to main entrance and toilet. i need to give respect to my boss mah. he knows i surf but not so obvious lah.

Next day onwards till today she still wear sexy but will put on a scarf when coming to talk to me

hmmm... i send my bike to tachyon motor for valve clearance for my fz1 n previous ride, not bad i shd say. but price wise, not sure as compared to HL for the fz. i did mine bcos timing chain loose, make alot of noise. so decide to change tensioner n timing chain while doing valve clearence. can last me for 40k km.

 

will consider about that.. thanks! what are the tell tale signs that we need to go for valve clearance?

might have problems with the connection of pc V. getting a pc III might be a better option.

i also have this problem when i use my home pc leh.. in office no problem.
