a table tag with big font, the word "table reserved!" followed by a small print " by charles for lks" woud be a better choice

Correct, what.... that's why you're always the first one, showing up for LKS at 7:30. Sometimes even plan to show up in the morning for evening LKS

Question: What difference should I feel in the bike's running after valve clearance adjustment (assuming it needed to be adjusted)? Smoother engine? Better pickup? Better FC? Easier to start?

Or is there no discernible difference in normal riding??

its 3.6L for fz1 gen2... weird... your FC is so good? mine is between 12 - 15.5 km/L...

anyway, yes it's F up... i rem there was once i reached sg. perak petrol station and i jus hit reserved tank, i wanted to pump but they don't let me! cus their petrol is only 95! o_O in the end i had to ride over to the next visible petrol station for roughly 50km! my heart is pumping faster than my bike! :faint:

yes, i felt weird too....wif aftermarket exhaust i get this FC n it's alrdy 3 fill ups i monitored. what i suspect is that my exup is still there cos can feel my throttle tight. i searched for the forum to see if anybody post a picture of the exup motor taken out or a picture of the exup motor location under the seat. i opened up mine n saw there is still this boxy like thing in there n not like bros here mentioned when the motor is taken out n left empty space.....

i felt that feeling before, not only the heart is pumping like crazy, the mind is running through all the contingency plan of the possibility of getting stuck....hehehe.....i see that you are quite a calm person....mai kan chiong type ah.....

Hmmm... Gen2 rear tyre pressure seems to be higher than Gen1 in that case. As far as I can recall, the Gen1 manual recommends 40psi (280kPa) at the rear, even for high speed/high load. Or at least, that's the setting I've been using since day 1

how about pressure for fz6s2? anyone?

tyre pressure? normal commuting i will pump 250-260 front 290 rear (after a petrol pump, enjoy the aircon for a while before pumping), so i wont say tyre is cold. track use 31 front 30 rear.

by the tire wall, there's indication of the max tire pressure. so its fine pumping at that range n below. most of the tires shd have the same max pressure. but its good to check if u r worried about the max to pump.

after valve clearance, u get smoother ride n slightly better FC. bike is not so noisy as well.

the exup is on the stock pipe itself so when u remove, means exup oso removed. i think u r refering to the ESRM. a plug-in device to prevent the error code from popping out after removing the exup servo motor.

think u need to standby petrol in a 2 litre bottle in ur cases when u go for trips. so if u r running low on fuel, can use that as a standby. :D

that's a good point but i dun like the idea of storing petrol in bottles... in nshw, i can humbly say that i pretty sure where should be the petrol breaks but didn't foresee that such happens... lol... nevertheless, thanks for the tip! :thumb:

heheh...sure no prob but u r right, we never know if they don't hv 97. but again, can just go through n scan, if no have, then just ride thru....these ppl hv short term memory. especially if they see u go thru n leave, they will never expect u to come back. then stop in front then return back walking. best is give a straight, pity face asking for help. RM5 tip will see u thru.......as usual.....good things must share but hey...pls stop riding alone. it's not good for ur health and bike...... :)

i'll try to take some pic when i'm back. anyways, the exup is on the stock endcan or the pipe itself? for my case, endcan only is aftermarket.....thing is, when i open throttle, i think after 2k-3k rpm, the bike want to fly......n she hates to slow down after that....very scary....

What do you mean by open exup valve? Disable and keep it open by messing with the cables?

If we believe the manufacturer's advert, the the exup valve should help with the low end, although I've read that the valve operation is quite complicated, i.e. open throttle, valve not neccessarily open, depends on speed, rpm, etc.

Anyone tried disabling and feeling a diff? Or those who have changed to slip on (without PC tuning), do you feel the low end getting worse? Not looking at top end, just the low end, part throttle operation.

the below is a video of how to remove the exup cables.

actually, there ain't much difference to keep the exup in place or remove it. removing the cables will just leave the valve fully open at all times. for me, i dun feel the diff with or without the exup. had read from fz1oa that the exup is just a noise reduction mechanism. not something to boost the low end.

to install slip on, exup is removed cos its at the stock can itself.

The EXUP has a tendancy to jam after sometime without maintenance.

jam at the cable or the valve or the motor?

actually, me too. top inside the bottle is ok. but after a ride under the hot sun, there is expansion in the bottle itself. might b slightly pressurized.

the exup is at the stock can. when u remove the stock can means exup valve is removed together. wat is left is the servo motor under seat unless u replace it with the ERSM. pichudot got replace if not wrong.

i wan my bike to fly oso hard... but mine is stock can with cat intact... :D even if change to slip on, i believe i will not remove the cat as well.
