hey guys, juz wonderin..since our fazers get reali hot easily..if we were to go long distance riding/tourin..wads e ideal interval to have a pitstop? i wouldnt wan my ride to overheat or worst still break down durin a tourin trip..any experienced tourers care to share their experience?

 

Each and every rider may have their own ideal intervals for rest stop. For me, my interval will be either every 1 1/2 hrs of riding or every 150km distance travelled whichever comes first. Before going for a trip, just go to your trusted mech for a check-up on your bike. If you have done the necessary maintenance for your bike every now and then, there's nothing to worry about.

Honda NSR 150SP - June 2001 till March 2002

Honda CB400 Spec 2 - September 2002 till August 2010

Yamaha FZ1-S 2010 - August 2010 till Present

Does anyone knows if fixing rizoma handle bar need to cut any wires from the stock handle bar components ?

 

R there wires going thru our handle bars?

using sticker type will not pass inspection as well, they will ask u to change back to metal type (double side tape it onto his windscreen).....that wat happen to one of my friend who went for inspection few weeks back.....weird

 

My nos plate is sticker type & it pass inspection le.

Maybe ur fren 1 is not standard size/differ fonts.

Damn...just replaced my magnetic coil priced at $920 including tow and workmanship. Shouldn't Yamaha be doing something about this common issue?

why so ex??? I asked AM and he quoted me $290 for the Magnetic coil. U change the coil basket too??? That coil basket is about $450!!! what else did u change and which shop u changed it??

its quite a change for me to switch from a sportsbike to a naked bike.

more relax wohh..

 

no lah i wanna change a bit a bit only.. performance wise i dun care much unless i play track lah like my k7 last time. worst to worst only change end can.

yeah, same like me la. shift shift shift until dunno what gear but just keep shifting up....hahahah

 

tow broz helped me send my old s4 for inspection.. not sure if they are still advertisers of sbf or not.. :)

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

rudy , i saw the side cowls sold at at motworld... fazer8 one costs $180 if my memory doesnt fail me.... i dont mind the pan bellies for my fz8 too;))))

 

Those cowls may be different. The cowls in that pic are FZ1 OEM Yamaha Sport Scoops...... replicas. :D

Am looking at fixing up this date with pichudot for a mini local trip to look at top box. Got "poisoned" by his boxes after our JB-wash-bikes session. hahaha...
