Hi guys,

any idea how long does it takes to charge the FZ1 battery at a shop?

I got this CTEK battery indicator installed on my battery, and it is suggesting the battery needs to be charged to bring it back to optimum level, i suppose.

Please advise.

Btw, the battery is about 1.5 years and 40K km. :)

Thanks!

I have the base plate but the base plate comes with the box, not with rack. I have the box but if i sell my rack with base plate then my box cant sell.. haha..

In sg, use top box. Up north, fix both side boxes. Most storage solutions are modular anyway.

Tail losing traction? Thats odd.

There is more to a suspension than its preload. Compression, preload and rebound.

If the side cases are going to be a permanant fixture on your bike, why not harden the compression springs, and readjust the preload? Rebound is important too.

While suspensions plays a part in rider comfort, its bigger purpose is to ensure that the tires mantains traction on the roads. If its too hard, the suspensions may well cause the bike to lose traction when it skips over uneven roads.

Btw, what box were you using? The one you just removed?

Currently using hepco 40L explorer. I'm not sure izzit the nature of the box that is squary had to do with aerodynamic. It usually happens when it is coming near a big truck/bus in front of me, the bike start to fishtail at ard 170km/h

Wander u guys got drop fork for fazer gen 1. I have told them the situation of my bike and what they told mi that my rear is overload causing front to be floating, hence speed wobble on the front end. I have not adjust the compression or rebound yet but it seems hard for me.

bro, if u nvr charged ur battery before, try going for a re-condition if ur battery charger do have this function... alternatively, u can approach limbat to get him to re-condition ur battery foc but at his location & time availability...

for ctek battery charger, they do have indicators on the charger itself to show u when it's optimized... try looking at the manual...

jus a little note fyi, for normal charging, it would take around 4-6 hrs for the medium range battery charger, 6-8 hrs for the entry level battery charger, 2-4 hrs for the most powerful battery charger...

check your rear shock. maybe it's time for servicing and a possible spring change.

before tire change, any signs of fishtail?

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

hm...a damper would help a lot....

else, just ride slower...its natural for the bike to feel the sway after adding boxes...i personally felt that after i installed the boxes and before getting a damper...

haha i always wondered. wont it be hard to park with sideboxes? seeing how small and crowded sg bike lots are

park 1.5 lot space? lol...

that's what i usually do...best is park at the corner...
