i had a problem..

my front fork protectors are rusting..the black seal as show in the pic above

any1 know where to get them changed and how much?

Will it pose further problems in the forks if i don't get it changed?

I just call Automachinery a few days ago and was quoted $9.50 for each oil seal and dust cover for FZ1 gen 2..

It will depend whether u are throttle happy or not . Normally my FZ1 will hit 210 to 220 km before the F-trip is activated. But I usually pump petrol to the brim at jb. It will have another 40 to 50 km before empty. This is a safe calculation .

40 miles. For a fz-s1000. 160 miles on main before reserve.

 

Too bad no reserve cock.

just multiply ur km/l by 3 litres. u'll get ur reserve mileage.....

if i remember correctly, these seals has a steel ring inside it as a skeleton. it looks like a spring so that the hold is tight.

I tried after reseved light start blinking for 55 km going into jb before I pump . Maintained at 90 km/hr didn't dare to rev fearing had to push bike lol
