anyway it's still better compared to those ppl who mod so much on handling but still unable to control his own beast... lol...

Don worry I can always supply a can of black spray

i think if given a choice between Öhlins with any other shocks, i'd choose Öhlins... every time... :)

dun worry, i've no issues with spraying it black myself nor having any issues handling with any bumpy rides... :)

Done... Problem found. Found out that the light bulb is draining too much of voltage already... Which my bike cant support.

Went down to bikewerks and told the mech abt my problem.

First, he on the bike, volage is 11.2~11.3 without starting the bike.

Second, he did an hour charge for my battery, then on the bike, voltage was at 12~12.5

Next, run the bike, alrite, voltage is near 12.9~13.4. Trottle abit, it move up to 13.7 and drop back to 13.4.

He mention when turning to on mode, it should be around 12.8~13, after ignition it should flow up from 13~ ard 13.8~14.

Did one by one:

1)There's no problem with the hazard light as he took out the wire again and join it back.

2)Voltmeter vs Multimeter, measurement is correct, it does tally up down 0.1v

3)Pull out my alarm, voltage remain stays near 12.9 to 13.1

4)Pull out light bulb, votage gradually charge up till 13.8~14.1.

Saw that there is a great jump in voltage, we try fix it back the light bulb, it drops back to 12.9~13.1

In conclusion, the light bulb greatly affect the voltage for start up the bike. :(

I must say, indeed Osram nightbreaker plus has a real good throw of the light :thumb:, but it's not really suitable for FZ16 due to the weak charging and small cap of battery. Sign :( Problem lies in the bike which cant support high watts light bulb, not the fault of lightbulb. Cheers~ Problem solve. Now when crusing, voltage hited 14.5v~14.6v max. :thumb:

yep..no prob..but sock need mebbe 10min+.. @seahmh i tink onli took less than 5min..hahaha. depends on hw skilful u are at insertin a rubber :D.

Yes, I did it at the MSCP where Fredd is staying near-by, after getting the "rubber" from him.

Initially, I had to push it in. Then until there is enough allowance near the bend of the "gear-stick", I started to grib the "rubber" by the bit and started pulling.

One hand pushing, one hand pulling, until more "rubber" went in, then you will have more "rubber" to grip and can start to "push" and "pull" more and faster.

But pls remember to wear a glove and do it with a cloth.

I did it "raw" (with glove or cloth). I suffered some slight blisters on my left thumb from all the "pushing". :)

Huh. Fruitful day.

1. Changed spark plugs fom denso u27 to ngk cr9e. Clearance was a *****. Thank goodness i have skinny fingers. Bike runs hotter though. May need to invest in better coolant.

2. Reset tps sensor. Clockwise full, still reads 10, excess fuel. Needed to hold down the damned sensor before i can lock it down to show 5, good mix. Might need a new sensor?

3. Set carbs to be leaner. Had a friend who has the right angle driver to do this for me. Didnt have the tools to set the idle though.

4. Washed bike. Got the termite dust off the head cowling. Hurrah! But then, the shiny head cowling doesnt match with the rest of the bike. No biggy, it will match when it gets dusty again.

looks like most/all gen1 series do have TPS issues? for what i know, fz6 s1 do have this issue and can be easily rectified, new knowledge now comes that fz1 gen1 also have this issue... :)
