Hi guys, I would like to ask for your opinions. I'm interested in getting a FZ1-N but before I lay my hands on one, I have some enquiries.

 

What kind of problems/maintenance does FZ1N (08 models onwards) usually have? Is there any preventive maintenance to ensure the bike engine is in good condition besides changing engine oil and spark plug of course? Any parts that need to be change regularly? Any other things that I need to take note of?

 

Your opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi bros, Im riding a fz6 s1. recently my givi monorack been making sounds from the metal. Just now I did a full check of where the sounds come from and found out there is a hairline crack on the metal arm.. Sian alr! Do u guys know where can I buy the fz6 givi monorack? Pls help me.

 

Dude dont mind if you can take a picture and let us see.. Maybe can still salvage or perhaps send for "touch up"

Just changed the magnetic coil and included towed bike for $1095, really freaking expensive, after 57000 km 3.4yrs

 

Seems commonly happened to all FZ1 in Singapore, could this due to our hot & humid weather

To retrofit a Projector into you head lamp won`t be cheap. Unless you DIY yourself.

 

Most shop charge from $300~800 depending on what model of bike.

As they risk of damaging the headlight assembly if not well done. like Water leak into the headlamp.

 

Projector have those china make which cost cheaper Est $2xx

Or higher end like Charles and me using is from USA Est $4xx

 

S♂undless is the master for this..

 

i remembered i asked one the bike shop that i go for servicing if they know how to fit it or not, they quote me $300-$400..

freak sia.. cus this price i can buy another set! lol..

 

in the end, i think i remembered i took 12-16 hrs to slowly do it nicely & neatly.. lol..

I can install the stuff myself, but the wiring part is like I have zero idea how the whole wiring situation works. Do you guys have a guide you followed when installing yourself?

For the last 1 month, when bike is moving opened up throttle at low speed and at high gear, i can feel something loose on the left side of engine

Sure but it is not going to be cheap maybe $1k onwards cos u need to get the bracket to hold the fairing, fairing, FZ1s headlight and worse case the wire harness might need to change too.

Changed mine at 70k km.. But 1095?? For both coil n magnet i suppose?

 

Didnt change my coil as was im good cond no signs of burnt and mech suggests just changing the magnet which is smittens in pcs. Damage was abt 600 only..

else, u can approach Hong Leong for inquiry.. or u can go eBay or oversea forums to check who is selling the head fairing and all its assembly..

 

u got to do quite a fair bit of homework to see how it is to be done..

 

so far, maybe i'm wasn't aware, no one in Singapore had done this type of conversion, from N to S.. good luck!

LTA can approve the conversion of a N to a S meh? Esp when the conversion is done by ourselves?

 

To the bro who wish to do the conversion, sorry to say this, no offence, if you have likened a S-version, you should have bought a S-version instead of a N-version (which is without the "lion-head").

oh that N-version is one of my friend gave me befor he when oversea . so i was thinking maybe can change to the s version.
