Hi Guys, Just recently got myself a brand new '13 FZ1N. I've put about 300km on it so far, taking it easy not going past 6K rpm. Not that I think I really would on a day to day riding basis. I have a question about the bike though, starting the bike feels weird. If I press the ignition and let go too quickly, it will crank but will not start. If I hold on to the ignition a little longer, it will crank - start - and then stop. This happens every now and then, be it from cold or hot. Sometimes I end up having to crank it 2 - 3 times before the bike really starts and stays running. Would appreciate the comments and advice! Thanks guys. Selamat Hari Raya to my fellow muslim riders!

Try Increase idling to 1.2k RPM.

Thanks yatz86! I read through the manual right after posting the question and it states I should idle between 11-13. I've been idling at 8-900 all this while! I spent the whole day fiddling with the idle screw and have found the sweet spot! Thanks for your help!

Hi guys ...

Just got myself a 2010 FZ1S ABS.

I also got the same issue whereby my right pannier (hnb jnr 40L) is slightly touching the right tailboard whereas the left has alil more clearance.

Also , I do not have problems with handlebar vibrating while riding freehand

But I have this issue whereby once I stop engine after riding and starts back ,

The engine idling won't sound as smooth as when I first started it.

Any comments on this ? Btw I'm using gianelli slipon

Where do you guys mount your iu at ? And where can I get one as I'm currently using one provided by vicom which isn't stable at all...

Thanks in advance !

If anyone is interested you can contact me via whatsapp/sms at 98750565.

Thanks in advance!

Ah, my Rear tyre pick up nails again and it's 3rd times in its life of about 20k Km.

Do you guys also experience similar frequency of nails? or it's just that I am the lucky one.

Haha, no bro, I don't ride at road shoulders.

Only possibility that I can think is that there are some construction work going on near my house. Construction of new HDB block, and just beside my usual place of parking they are upgrading children's playground, and constructing new sheltered walkway etc. etc. After my first time puncture about six months back, I started to park a bit far away, but slowly I forgot and again started to park near my block. Finally ended up two puncture within a month.

it got nothing to do with the bike, the rim nor the tire.. it got to do with the rider's riding style or the road conditions.. :)

You are indeed very lucky Sir! I was more lucky than you previously. Countless of nails till put worm also losing air. Changed new tyres and this is my 2nd set of new tyres with no nails incident!! :D always pay attention to the road surface ahead. See any object avoid at all cost.

Correct. My Numo has difficulty fitting in my Xplorer.. Need to consider the size factor too? And which FF.

cannot say avoid at all costs also. later avoid until swerve into people's lane.. then.. ok you should get my point. :cheeky:

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.
