Hi guys,

Currently riding a 2011 FZ1S(Gen 2). A bit of a general/noob question, so here goes.

When you guys want to stop/park your bikes, do you immediately turn off the key/ignition first or do you use the killswitch (the red flipswitch on the right of the handlebar)? I know it might all come down to personal preference, but any definitive answer to why either option is preferred or better than the other? Some hearsay and reports online saying that using the killswitch isn't good for EFI bikes, any truth in that? Thanks.

off by key. killswitch is a switch to break the circuit in case of emergency. not sure if there is any impact on EFI bikes. But often use of killswitch will have a higher tendency of kill switch failure which means means bike cannot start. good luck if u r overseas.

Guys,in case you are looking for a Gen2. I have decided to sell her after mere 2 months of ownership. Primary reasons, I have back and hips medical issues, great discomfort in riding position. Have been bearing the pain for last few rides. Mileage is very low for a Mar 2010 FBE Gen 2. At 43xxx km. Do refer to the link attached for the pictures and more details. Thanks.

Hi guys, what kind of servicing should you do for a fz1 about 52k mileage? am thinking of going down to U**que motorpsorts to do..wondering whats the norm for others here...got the bike for 3 years now and havent push to bike shop yet other than for EO and filter..

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast

Other than fuel injector cleaning, can consider a valve clearance check. Replace your brake fluid and coolant every 2 years.
