can u tell us more on wat the mags say abt this bike :cheeky:

The reviews basically comment that this bike is built much more for top-end performance, which comes only after 10k rpm. The give-up is the mid-range, so lower speed city riding requires more changes among the lower gear to keep within the power band. This is probably the way the engine has been detuned from the R6 engine, which was naturally built for top-end performance. So while it churns out more horses than the previous model, the usable band is much higher up the rpm range. This is what I gathered, and not my own views, cause I never rode the new model, only the previous one which was discontinued due to emission standards.

Anyway, just put downpayment on a 2nd hand one. Finally settled on the FZ6 as I think it looks much better than the Hornets, and also I need to pillion. I love the FZ1 too, but just felt it is too tall and heavy for my liking. Hope I pass my TP end of the month, otherwise, the bike will be sitting there and gathering dust (or worse, rust).

I hope to install an engine guard and a top box. Interested in side boxes too - can they be installed without much mod to the bike? Appreciate if anyone can share where would be good place to get one done.

Also, any other basic accessories I should consider, and where to get them?

Thanks all.

its always up to the rider whether he/she choose to buy a new bike or 2nd hand bike. I have been through a terrible expirence with my 2nd hand bike so now i dun mind to pay more $$ to get a brand new bike. :cheeky:

if u talk about the power of midrage, mayb the FZ6 no as powerful as FZS, but I thk tht a little bit less power u wouldnt obviously feel  BUT if u compare both bike's slower speed smoothness...then FZ6 sure win alot...bcos FZ6 is FI, FZS is carb.

High speed ah...everytime touring I was at last ( or moka will at last :cheeky: ), so I sure FZ6 can go very fast. My FZS top speed is around 230kmh...So i thk FZ6 shd faster then FZS...but mayb just abit lah (dun expect it faster then FZ1  )...

for my FZS, 200kmh still feel stable, but I have to lying down abit deal with my standard windshied. No touring every week...so thk no need to change tht, but is up to u lah~

Any feedback at all? Apprec it cause quite lost when it comes to accessories. Don't want to be ripped off or fix something that'll screw the bike up. Thanks.
