ya. when they decided to go more sports and less tourer they lost the rounded package appeal. it's now a more of a naked sports and less of a sports tourer. wonder who is in their focus group that led to this design orientation. :mad:

 

so far reviews from various magazines seem to be pretty much the same. if they compare to gen1, it's a hard deal in their performance. gen1 wins in the rounded package of strong low range, better range, cheaper maintenance, etc. gen2 wins in the mind-blowing craziness in the r1, up to date design, etc.

 

i seem to see a similarity to the fzs600 to fz6s makeover. :giddy:

hope i don't offend anyone but i think fz6s is quite a failure in trying to replace the older fzs600. not only is the low range weak, but the components that they use is also sucky. if i'm not wrong, the brake calipers were from xjr4. imagine that to replace the r1 calipers? i would gather that if they did not scrimp on the brakes at least, they will get better reviews. being higher rev people can still have fun out of it to "forget" about the weaker low-mid.

 

lucky the 06fz1 is going up the scale in terms of components quality rather than going down. a small number think the stock shock is better than the gen1 "out of the box". but the other worry is the tps. heard of it cocking up for the fz6s and the r1s. a bit of an issue here...

 

the fz6s have a considerable number selling within a year due to various negative reasons. hope this does happen on the 06fz1. :pray:

Nixs (RICH MAN/MAD MAN) just sms me tat his new scooter is going to change to GPR street legal end can.

 

He going to challenge me to a 10 lamp post race.Any other one interested in taking part too?(CKC where are you?)

 

LX 150 vs ZX 130 vs ????

This you gt to ask the richman liao.....Must let his mod is scooter first,change racing roller,lightweight flywheel,open pod air filter,end can etc.

 

Then he will ask meng tong to tune and dyno run to make sure his does not lost to the ZX 130. :cheeky:

I not richman or madman leh.My ZX is only a workhorse and A to B transport bike.

 

But I will still accept his challenge.Want to see his expression when his mod LX lost to my ZX......Hahahaha. :cheeky:
