Pulau Ubin - Cycling?

Hi, anybody has gone to pulau ubin for cycling lately? just wondering how it's like over there now....

haven been ther for few yrs le so tot of jio-ing some kaki go cycle

 

but i got a feeling that bikers dun cycle. ahhahaa...

cycle feels so slow compared to riding lolz.. maybe thats why..

we prefer 200cc of motor power between our legs.

 

no la. i do cycle sometimes. been some time since i went ubin, update us abt the trip when u cum back.

I learnt cycling b4 I ride bike... So cannot 4get how I start wat...

Now P. Ubin has a lot of paved roads... not like before when there were mostly dirt tracks. Very shiok to cycle.

 

I always believe that P. Ubin should be preserved in its original form. But in Singapore, everything exists for an economic purpose. So 'green' areas like P.Ubin will remain as it is until the day the Gahmen spies an economic opportunity in developing the island.

 

Very soon, P. Ubin will be another Sentosa.

thats right

but i prefer going offroad.. more exciting..

i've seen people suffering from bad falls.. so please bring a basic first aid kit and get the number to the police or rangers just in case...

 

 

chek jawa is close in case anyone plans to go there.. they are building some dumb sungei buloh type of walk way !!!!

 

alot of the marine life is dead there !

 

so sad to see these stuff... but the old cottage house is still there.. as well as the many granite quarry..

i tot of gg but haven go. must find kakis mah. sometimes its good to get out of tall buildings island and breath "fresh" air. hahaha...

 

if got ppl interested, i dun mind organising. but seems like only me and dannis at this pt o time. others keen?

I didn't know that you wanted to go until I went to backtrack the Hobbies Talk threads.

 

Boat is about $2 per way and for bike rental, about $8 that day. I went to Noordin Beach and got caught in a storm.

bring water or u can buy but on the way no sell water

 

if u dont mind bring bag pls bring a lot of snacks can eat on the bike ride

Some shops provide basket to put on the bikes. So need not bring bags. Bring a lot of water and mosquito repellent.

aiyo almost forgotten about this cycling trip.

 

cycling @ ECP or Sentosa doesnt seem to be more interesting than @ Ubin. More trees and valleys to see.

 

Trying to find a good date where most people can make it...but seems difficult to find a common date....
