Hi, I'm new to this thread here. I would like to ask if any comet 125 riders got put any extra fairings for this naked bike? If have, where to get it??

 

 

Hey rokoshuo, i'm currently riding a black GT125 but w/o fairings. If you wanna fix fairings might as well go for sport bikes??? However if you surf the previous few pages, there's a post regrading mods for GT125. If i did remember wrongly, a plain fairing w/o design alone will cost you around US$650 & still have not included the shipping cost & installation..

Not sure if shrouds can be mod to fit our bike, i think it depends abit on how creative the mech is..

ok thanks for the info. i did google around but sadly not much info available online. and beside, hearing real experience from riders who ride it before is much better ma.

 

I would say it's definately worth the buy for my GT250.

 

No major problems encountered so far.

 

Consistent FC of ard 30km/l, cruising 110 @7k rpm and start stop traffic. ~ 510km full tank range.

 

It's not as stable compared to my previous s4 against crosswind. Haven't tried the top speed. EO is 1.5l and just using normal motul 5100.

I'm spraying my oil tank, the behind fairings, front mud guard, Rims, fork. Previous colour was stock black. But i'm spraying it white as base, with red and black colour as strips. Rims and Fork i'm spraying it to Matt Black. Frame i'm spraying it to black. Reflective Red Stickers will be paste on the rims. Design is from a class 2A/2 roadster bike pic in a Magazine (forgotten which 1).

 

Btw, what are shrouds??

 

In SG, is GPR pipe legal to be put on our comet 125cc ?? Like those GPR pipes that are fixed on YAMAHA 2B bikes. IXIL Silencer pipe can be put on our comet anot ar?? As in street legal ..

I bought my bike at everbright motor shop for 1.8k machine price, FY plate.

Yup, hyosung comet GT125 .. Bought it last week .. But now waiting for my Licence pass only ..

rokoshuo, no other pipe other than the shiny hyosung comet exhaust is street legal in singapore. even if u wanna go illegal, thats gonna cost u a bomb. lol.

 

shrouds are like side fairings for naked bikes like our comet. covering part of the exposed engine. :shades:

Hey rokoshuo, I was excately the same as you. Bought the bike way before passing my lisence. Hmmm FY plate 1.8k think should be ok lah. As for the mods i would suggest you getting used to the bike first. Feel is different from the school for my case was SSDC Honda CG125. Maybe after the 1st or 2nd month you can then consider???

Hahax .. Sure! Hmmm, total i paid 2.8k inculsive of my insurance and other admin stuffs. I'm 18 this year. The motorshop gave mi free new paint, chain and sprocket. I also requested to change some of the parts like headlight, side mirrors etc. I'll be going down to the motorshop again to see how it goes ..

Oops.. Lucky i did't scare you off ya.. Actually i was rather pissed with those initial problems when i just got my bike not long but as time goes, they did't seem significant cos i know that i'll just be riding the bike for maybe a year or more as i'm definately gonna change to a class 2A bike.. :P

 

However what i'm facing now is just the trip meter as it doesn't "jump".. So what i do to calculate my fuel consumption is to take the reading from the main meter everytime i pump my fuel.. Such things don't actually affect me anymore hee hee.. What's more is that i'm enjoying my ride now..

Hey guys, wanna ask if any one of you is inerested in getting anything from http://www.richardhyosunggvgt.com/co...25250650rs.htm. I may wanna order the Gas Tank Sticker cos i can't find any compatible stickers in the market.. Also, the Chrome side stand appeals me as currently with our side stand down, it is still rather upright so when parking on a slope is very difficult. If you guys wanna get anything else from the website also can so it's not restricted to what i mentioned only. Maybe we could consolidate the orders to lower the shipping fees ya.
