Gimme a buzz if u can bargain for 2 sets in the certified street legal crap pipes, i m on stock now, no time to scout around. I slipped out my scorps due to a verbal warning by a nice LTA gentleman tat i met in Tuas. He suggested tat to put louder or race pipes since my papers wasnt there, fine still the same...lol...n i told him my next project to put like the CBR1 single pipe if i go the darkside.

ya shithead... philip gave a reasonable price..but i think i rather spent that amount on a legal one..if not once caught by tp then the price will be also like legal pipe already. Micron sound not bad..don't know about GPR ..Anyway i had to start saving again ,in order to get the legal stuff. any idea where have Micron or GPR legal end can for our x ? how much the price ? are you planning to change the header also?

ok lpshx11, Micron can get readily anywhere .. i got trusty friends working Albert Motors and can get that there ... think its abt $1.5k for 2 pipes ...

 

Alternatively, i can get Equipment Xtreme to get blue flame pipes(better ones) cos the last time he told me that if i can get at least 6 bikes he can get UK side to do the cert, and we all know the test is the expensive part .. how much i have to confirm again ... how? if yesh the i believe will be better cos blue flame is the only legalise pipes w/o muffler ... i was thinking of the dual tip ones ... wohooo ...

Headers, me and my friends will get it fabricated by the Msia company ... dunno wat name but its rather popular and was feature in MCA and they did do the Super 4 headers before ... Price abt $600 ...

UK side do the certs, i have my Scorps certs by UK, but LTA dun want to endorse, this is where the creepy side of our govt sector, never step out of the box, unless u make a huge hoo haa in the media or press.

 

If u wana install the streetlegal mufflers, make sure u do the inspection before u install the 'illegal' headers. If not the papers will be void. But again, legal stuffs at the end + illegal at front = not approved. So, y invest is such a high price, rather go for the full system 4-2-1. Either u go full system legal(muffler onli) or full system race type.

was snooping around here and saw this lively conversation about pipes... Im in the same shoes as most of you guys.... stock for weekdays.. RS3s for Msia... its a 20 min job at the void deck for a change over...

 

As for legal pipes, u guys mite wanna check the following ones that are street legal for the BB. shd be the same for the monsters u guys have

 

YOSHI full system Tri-oval... 4 into 1 exhaust that is actually approved. However Yoshi has discotinued this model so ull only be able to find 2nd hand ones with papers..... just transfer name and inspection... Price V expensive almost 1.6K and is HIGHLY sought after by BB owners

 

GPR stubby.... Approved slip on for the BB.. However im personally not a big fan of the outlook as the bike looses the garang pipe effect looking more like a K8 exhaust

 

Akrapovic Twin slip ons at about S$1600/- Same price for carbon and Ti...

 

Scorpions - Also a rarity with LTA approved papers....Must look for agent

 

Remus - Approved slip ons.. but again stubby and I think no one is using it as yet

 

Leo Vince - rumored to be approved around mid year but agent cant confirm so i think its just a rumor.....

 

Micron - Slip ons that are also approved by LTA

 

BTw all pipes are with mid pipes....

 

Anyway do join us in the BB thread... Im sure it would be good if we can organise short makan trips......

Hi Confused, thanks for your info.. we been thru many rounds of the legal pipes for X11.. there are not many out there recognized by LTA.. and if its the first time that a brand or model is put on an X11 in SG, LTA has strict requirements for certification (we went thru this with our Scorpion pipes).

1. that this model/brand is meant for the X11 with engine type SC42 (which means if for BB with engine type SC35 cannot)

2. that this model/brand also meets noise & CO2 requirements for street legal in SG

Papers for the above from the manufacturer is needed, but many times, the manufacturers don't have them, cos in UK/Europe they don't need these papers.. as long as got CE approval stamp on the pipe, can pass inspection in UK/Europe.

 

Anyway, we should make a point to meet up with others more.. even our own X11 team members already always so hard to meet up..

Hmmm My bad... didnt know that the engines carried diffrent ID Nos... Assumed it would have been the same as the Carbie BBs

Predominantly BBs and a few others who are freinds... basically Busas and Super4s

we planning to hit the H'way to clear some carbon for those who need to and then for some good seafood dinner/ supper

Yup, that i know, but then headers they are not so stringent on it ... mostly is end can .. and i'd still prefer 2 smoking cans ... haha ... more garang

Hiya confused, well, i am like you, i like my pipes to look garang haha so i would prefer 2 endcan ...

 

i had ben to motorworld and seen the YOSHI full system Tri-oval 4-1 but i aint liking it cos to me since we riding big bikes with 2 pipes, i'd like to keep ot that way ...

 

and then the YOSHI full system Tri-oval is meant for BB not X11 so dun think can get it legalise even thou the naked bird do share alot in common with the fairing bird

 

and if like you say, Remus can get X11 approved pipe and not X11, i dun mind trying .. care to point me in that direction who to look for? whoopie .....

Wow..pipe talks huh...at last the thread is alive and kicking.

Well did try to source out twin pipes for my bb but in the end went for the dark side,using akra meant for ZX10 and GSXR k4.block the left side and walla.....single end.It street legal for those mention bike but not for bb.Was stop during a rd block with 2 WRX and 5 white bikes but looking at my beard and moustache,they juz signal me to go...damn the sight of $700 flying from my wallet was playing on my mind but heng ah!...so i guess you guys better start growing ones for gd luck...hehehehehehehe

went to motorworld yesterday,But no one(saleman) seem to be interested.walked around there for quite a while and trying to ask some question about the remus end can and yoshi.but not one seem interested.well maybe i look poor to them...what to do .. maybe got to try some other place..
