Been more than a month since using the open type filter....so far no problems with it. Been thru heavy rain with it and also no problems. Best was the consistency of the fuel consumption, so far even with high revving and high gear changing @ 6-8 thousand rpms, F/C still remains at a very steady 30.9 - 31.3 km/l.

 

Carb Elip is still on 3 rd slot.

 

This proves that the stock air filter is not optimized. Highly recommended if u wish to keep your RW for some time.

 

So how guys? Do we have enuf ppl to order the K&N filters yet?

uncle soh,

 

my header seem to be having problem again.

 

the rattling sound is coming back.where should i weld it?cos i dun have money to buy new header plus my bike keep back firing.

hmm.. yeah, bought it jus 5 months ago... that's y, if it's the header, i will feel cheated. however, the problem seems not as worse as before. on stationary position, it does not have the sound. only when i'm moving. i hope it's really not the header. Hey, there was some rattling sound among the other rw riders too right? and iot's not the heaaader problem. wad was it?

mine was due to engine mount getting loose.. So Roy tightened the four engine mount screws and "walah"sound was gone.. you could try that..

 

Btw my front sprocket cover has a crack at the top. Anyone else have this problem?

 

Bike is also choking at 80/90km/h nowadays.. haiz.. prob need to play with the carb settings abit..

hmm.. i dunno wad is the problem now, but i ,must go to roy asap.. the sound of the air intake and output is also different now.. i can feel the air intake or out take. feels funny. seems like air flow not smooth... haiz. money again...

haiz....i know how u feel....second hand bikes always like dat no matter what kind of bike u buy. From experience, all my bikes bought second hand will bound to have one kind of problem within as short as 1 month.....:giddy: :giddy:

hi guys,

i'm a new 3rd hand owner, and i was travellin over at BKE at 110kph at about 9.5krpm will full open throttle, when it was an down slop the engine peaked and went slightly into the red line zone, was close to 120kph, the engine sounds like its going to explode..

 

But after about a second or 2, the rev meter juz went all down, engine stop revving even at full throttle.. is this a engine cut? looks like a failsafe thing.. are our bikes fitted with power cut electronic?

wad is your bike model? rw or X5? for me, i went 120km/h at cte towards sle before the left curve uder the bridge. i went 120km/h for a while. 5sec to 8 sec before i close trottle..

 

btw, the problem for my bike is the plate at the biginning of the header. two nuts missing, so the ring like metal drop off... now it's hanging at my header...

 

anyone knows wad tyme roy close?

Thanks for the straight answer,

Lastly, i figure theres a problem with the clutch, at about 35-40kph, clutch in, down to 1st gear... theres always a sound... and its commonly heard from thoes older bikes.. any idea if the its clutch issue?

i got my rw125 from a friend, i juz take over no need pay downpayment.. juz insurance and admin fees.... right now i pay 130$ a mth for next 19mths.. bike in preety decent condition.. out of curiousity how much u sellin..??

 

and wheres the fuel c*** that can switch to reserve ah?

Its on the left hand side of the bike. Just to the right of bike engine. Be careful when switching as your hand might touch the bike's hot engine while still hot.. See pic..

ah i c thanks alot, for the help guys, so does that mean that when fuel tank empty, i switch manually to reserve, use finish, turn back to ON position, and refill the tank, the reserve will automatically be refilled also?
