Dunno le...haven serviced my carb la....every six months then i service my carb. But from the looks of their workshop, can say professional la...best to ask uncle soh.

well, reason i wanted to service my carb is coz my bike broke down twice already last month. Somemore in middle of e-way, goin around 80-90, suddenly engine die. So i suspect sometin wron with my carb. haiyah, think better ask lost jack sell me his bike la... :):bouncefire:

Hi Soh,

This just my suspicion only, could be other prob, coz my bike, last time use semi-syn oil, normal spark plug. No prob. Only now, after use "better grade" plugs, oil. This prob came out. Air filter changed liao. Actually, i also not sure the rootcause, but carb could be prob for small bike i think. Ni wai, i ridin TA200, so no tacho..etc, so quite diff to monitor engine health. Actually, i already serviced my carbs at a placed widely recommened by PKs, but still felt the bike not up to norm. Since Lost jack has done some carb tuning if i remember correctly, so would like to try at cka.

Alamak....my zing last time also never give me such problem le...but my old scooter got la. That time was becoz of piston jam due to overheat. Can feel bike like on e-brake mode like dat. If happen again, feel your engine block..if cool down can start then problem lies on ur engine oredi...if it feels hotter than usual, then i'd suggest u do a top end overhaul.

Yo brader where is the report button man???? so far, i try:

 

1) press "quote" button

2) Copy & paste relevant text

3) press "quote" button again

4) press "add reply" button

 

How come when reply posted, dont have like u all huh, beside the quote got name one :help: :help: :help:

Did a quick run on PIE this afternoon, set my idling setting up 1/8th clockwise...idling now between 1300-1500 rpm compared to 1100-1200 rpm.

 

Better pickup response especially when u speed up after a going over a hump. Also max rpm can now reach 9000rpms = 112kph. So at least the racing ignitor gave a significant improvement on max rpm.

 

Previous max rpm on 15/42t sproket with front exhaust mod was only 8500 - 8700rpm @ 105-107 kph. Will be changing to 15/40 setting on coming tuesday. Also took out the air filter plastic funnel to see if any significant gain.

Haha...me heavy la bro.... look @ Daelims hp/kg spec...just nice. So if rider weighs 78 kg plus pillion weight 45kg PLUS box and barang barang inside box....HOW TO PASS 9000 rpm??!! :cheeky: LOlz. Anyway, its juz a short burst....about 1km plus stretch from pie eunos to pie bedok reservoir exit.

Cannot!..Your phantom TA200 got more horsies than 125cc Roadwin. Should spray your bike black and wear black leather jacket like bro...then can become Phantom Ghost Rider!

hey jackal,

u had the exhaust front header section changed to racing header plus ignition power booster n 15t/42t sprockets.

rpm still can't break 9k rpm? icon-confused2.gif

when u change the rear sprocket to 40t, your speed will increase to 115kph but rpm can't break 8.5k rpm (lack horsepower) unless u'r going downslope.

 

 

Maybe oso becoz my carb settings still lean so no max burn. Tomorrow, i'll ask Roy to set the clip down by one and see the outcome. Also dun wan to set it down more cause economically no sense la....later bike drink fuel like thirsty camel drink water after juz finished humping :giddy:
