yep. roy told me some contact had problems.. they fixed it alr but roy advised me to leave it in cka so tmr they can do a full test of the bike to make sure its okay.. didnt really have a choice last night =( was already 9 plus after i repaired my tyre and i had to reach camp 7.30am today. needed to travel home from there which took me an hour..

haha nope. got my bike back! damn happy. think they did more than just rectify the problem. now my bike runs better

he just got his bike.. i test rode it just now.. walau the sound is so sweet!

 

and its my first time riding a RW.. very stable bike!

 

but is it normal? ,when im at gear 2 and going over hum , speed slow then engine knock damn hard..

 

cos it dont happen with cdc bike..

but i must say it look plasticy....

and i would definetely do a wild paint job on it...

 

anyway anyone know about the price for the roadwin R250...

any reviews??

tat knock sound is the side-stand hitting against it's stopper as u went over the hump.

it happen a lot if u going thru woodland custom check point, going over many humps.

 

solution:

tie a plastic wire-wrap around the inside half of side-stand with the head at the top act as a damper against the stopper to prevent metal to metal contact.

 

but its not metal with metal..

 

can feel is from the engine.. like gonna stall like that..

haha dont worry bout the plasticy. cos for example the tank ah.. i think got 2 layers of "shell" so the outer one is just for aesthetics.

 

R250 i not sure whether have anot leh.

 

btw, my tire got punctured again! i think its kehna sabo. this time its a nail inside. btw, anyone knows how long my this tire can last? already got 2 patches. sian.

 

one last question.. what diff can u guys feel using 120/70 tire compared to 120/80?

reasons can be:

1) not warm-up enough.

2) idling rpm too low.

3) stock carb setting is lean.

 

solution:

1) let bike warm-up (2~3 mins) b4 riding.

2) set idling higher.

3) simple carb tweak like setting pilot-screw at 2 1/2 turns, etc....

 

cos it possibly be u're going at a speed too low for gear 2?? hehe :cheeky:

hm, but will my acceleration improve if i change my back tire from 120/80 to 120/70 instead?

oh yea its 140/60. think i got confused with something else lol. oh but will reducing the front sprocket affect the top speed?
