i think it can be done by installing a modded stock CDI like roy said. But then again, a roadwin's hp to weight ratio is relatively fixed. No matter how much mod u make, u still hav to remember that it is only a 124 cc displacement engine. So your total weight burdening on the engine is a very important factor in pick up & speed.....

Can oso upgrade to a 160 cc cylinder kit soh posted in the thread some time ago.....confirm hp up one. I think you can still pass the inspection coz they usually check the external mods like pipe, CO emissions etc. unless u really very unfortunately suay :sian:

oh k not bad man u guys are good lol... got to chat up with u guys one of these afternoons for kopi lol... and probably get a test ride on a RW :cheeky: :slurp: get to know more abt it tooo.... haiz...any way singapore road wat power do we want also rite or not ? .. its not like europe or other states where speed limits are above the 100km/h mark.... well lets see if u guys willing probably can bring me to CKA also ? can >? ... ? lol... take care guys.. i still waiting for ma TP must pass first time ... lol..

Or u can do it in M'sia...much much cheaper there.....they use local parts not the advertised kit parts. That's y u can sometimes see a speeding 4 stroke wave zooming @ 120km/h on the 2nd link :smile:

ya...oso got bitten many times b4 even by my 'closest friends'. I remembered he almost crashed head on into a street light on my old mito. I was damn pissed when i realise he hadn't even passed his license but boasted to everyone of us that he only got 4 points on his TP!

 

But if u need to go down to cka, we'll be glad to bring u down :smile: btw when's ur TP & where?

O K ... lol :thumb: lets say i am going to loan le ? .. i mean to be sure of all possibilities and all i know i will loose out on the loaning thingy rite coz of the interest.. And i think i shud FORCE ma dad to go with me lol.. maybe can get better price ah ... i still thinking whether to go to CKA or some other shop near ma house tat sells RW also.. coz all CKA quite far from ma house sia .. wanna go down all the way lol.. haiz.. and thanks for the GD luck wat i doing is every week 1 day i doing RC less then one day before do circuit revesion and road revesion the evening before ... jus nice la i think i will be ready as for ma lesson number 8 the instructor said i have one mistake which is ure feet point outwards when doing crank course i felt like kicking them in lol .. he said i nth else road all ok circuit all ok . so i like quite confident la .. but dun wan overconfident so go for circuit revesion ! lol :cheer: practice makes perfect man ! cheers !

I got my bike on the very same day lolz! Cause i bought my seond hand bike from cka previously and had a clutch problem so i told myself what the heck might as well get a new bike.

 

But i rugi 1.3K on the bike as they bought over for only $450! But what the hell... that kind of bike i think very hard to sell oso loh.

 

Anyway, the reason why i got the bike on the very same day was becoz the coe has already been registered about five months before. Transfer & roadtax & insurance they did it all in a day. Best of all, they let me use their spare bike temp (Daelim Evolution) while they do all the neccessary paperwork.

 

TP test...like NS oso...must be super wayang and cool...confirm can pass one! Especially check blind spots.. lot of ppl fail due to blind spot & improper signalling. Best of luck to u bro...one more month to go!

 

p.s i think only cka sells the roadwin...din see any other shop selling them unless maybe its second hand

wow u got tat wrong lol... jus went down to GLEN INTERPRISE today at serangoon there after the Dainese shop there before MAH motors.. and tat shop is selling brand new so on top of the BLACK ! :lovestruck: daelim they paste this tag saying PROMOTION $5980 with out insurance and erp... so i asked him erm how much is the total cost and can u help me break it down he say when u wanan buy lol.. i said probably end of next month then he say end of next month come back lor lol ! wah sibe pissed man lol then i said tat is not the point here i need to know the whole cost and other cost and ure HIDDEN costs also .. so he look at me one kind lol. then he say ok la i tell u most probably by next month OTR will be ard 6.5 or 6.6k lol he say cannot say the coe and ure insurance all la lol.. then i jus say ok lor . their interest is 6 or 7 if i can remember .. jus got back anyway lol.. and wat u mean by WAYANG ? lol.. so far i mean not being overconfident i think i can make it coz ma instructors said i got no problem in checking blind spots or safety wans only thing is he said ma crank course tat time ma feet point outwards ... so i guess should not be a problem lor the way he said and i purposely asked him after everything tat was there any other mistake i did tat u close one eye then he said no nothing u are good i GURANTEE u can pass first time wan GD luck lol then i also like hmmmm ok ... so yeah tas ma "outing" today lol.. go see the whole bike price ... not much information gained la he like not interested to LAYAN (entertain) as malays say it lol.

Really? i din noe dat. Anyway, i do know that if u buy stuffs elsewhere other than the agents, u are @ their mercy in terms of overpricing of parts, servicing. They MAY psycho you that certain parts are only from Daelim and make quote other charges like time & labour needed to obtain such parts. Oso they can put an imitation part into ur bike without u even knowing it.

yeah i tot so too that they might change parts inside the bike all ... haiz .. wats wrong with these motortiams lol.. jus makes me wonder sometimes.. well i will defenitely go down to CKA hahah no doubt.. and i also asked him abt the belly pan for daelim he said comes seperate they sell it i asked how much he said depends 50 - 200 see which wan u getting lor ... hahah i asked is there not supposed to be one specified one which comes with the RW in europe and overseas he say tat wan no problem i can show u all the type la u want to buy then we go into the details ... wah it was the turning point for me lol. i said thanks for ure inadequete information i might come back again .. and he was left dumbfounded there thinking wats the meaning of inadequete lol.. :sweat:

As long u have a licence, they will allow u to test ride within the premises of the fromt / back of the shop if i'm not mistaken. A stock Roadwin sounds very quite but if you run @ 110 km/h without modding the sprokets...its sounds noisy because you r almost red lining the engine.

 

After sproket mod, it is quite like all 4 strokers. If you want a more garang sound, just empty the stock muffler or get a moriwaki exhaust system which btw isn't LTA approved yet :mad: :smile:

You can double confirm the price of the belly pan with cka since most probably they'll get the parts from there too. The range is different most probably coz they are local ones that can be affixed to the RW as well

best to wash yourself la...fairly easy since naked bike...a thorough wash will take about one hour using a big pail of water, degreaser or WD40 and normal car wash shampoo. More satisfaction la.

 

If not many petrol stations that offers manual car wash will most likely do it from a range of 4-8 bucks. Some places that i know offering bike wash are:

 

Caltex AMK near ave 12

Bedok North SPC (used to be BP i think

Simpang Bedok Shell.

Tampines Caltex (Near TP)

To MAnnu and whoever who wants to get a roadwin after passing tp. I just got a quote from NTUC almost fainted. UNder 25 yr old p-plate no experience, 3rd party fire and theft insurance =$1300+. Mitsui quote me $666 for 3rd party fire and theft. So best if can get be sub rider much cheaper. Still wondering though why the diff in pricing so big.

Wow!!! Imagine how much insurance for a fairing bike den??!! Have you tried AXA or Alliance yet?

NTUC now very hard up on bike insurance pricing already...they only focus on experienced riders since many newbies always claim from them esp the racing type after accident - minor or major.

 

Dat is the cause of the BIG difference. My friend in NTUC Income told me. when i passed my TP and was still P plate, my first party cost for a Cagiva Mito was only $400...and that was already considered very expensive since you can get third party insurance for only $40 in 1998/9!

Wah SO CHeap..too bad i wasnt born earlier.. Anyway i called AXA they dun accept P Plate. HAvent tried alliance. Think going for mitsui if i am getting. its like the cheapest. but i guess if anything happen prob also quite hard to claim
