i guess so tas why i not putting ma name as the owner of the bike lor getting ma uncle to buy under his name as he is 37yrs old and has never had any accident or claimed insurance before so they quote me 2nd party for a COMET was 330 so i guess the daelim shud also be ard the same price but now ppl telling me go get first party la better ... and i was wondering ah guys lets say ma uncle buys second party ah and i happen to be riding and a car bang into me la no accident jus a knock tat coz ma bike to be damaged can i or ma uncle claim unsurance for the so called accident ? .. or only first party allows u to do it or only if at the time of the accident ma uncle was riding the bike ? .. not sure abt this though pls fill me in considering i am the second rider la lol.... thanks alot ! guys ure the best man i owe u guys a treat lol ! :thirsty: once i pass ma TP k ? celebrate together with KOPI lol .. :thumb:

din really answer ma question lol.. will i be able to claim the insurance if anything happens to the bike while i am riding it under second party insurance ? . even if the bike is under ma uncles name and i am the second rider ? .. which party allows u to do tat sort of claiming ? .. lol talking abt party need to go for a party

2nd party is 3 party, fire n theft......if ur bike got stolen or catch fire, then it is under this coverage.

yup yup...that's why first party is best provided u have the cash coz if u really got involved in a major accident that mashes up your bike and cost almost a new rw to repair, first party ensures you dun hav to fork out that much dough,.

 

BUT assuming your repairs are only $350 and ur excess amount is $300....the bike shop will most likely ask u to go fly kite if u wanna claim from insurance. Or if u insist, they'll most probably repair ur bike half-heartedly.

 

I mean who can blaim them since in order for them to claim the insurance money for the repairs will take them ages. Unless u paid them upfront & claimed the money from the insurance coy urself! :smile:

hohoho ! guess wat yesterday was going to work then i stopped to early missed ma busstop and had to walk down to anchor point lor.. then while walking down alexandra lol i happen to see universal motors that boasts the Bajaj Pulsar tat can go at least 45+km/ltr... then walk abit more towards anchor point i saw big big DAELIM lol cka sole agents ... ! the alexandra branch is open man ! but jus too bad i did not have enuff time to go in and chit chat with the sales person there lol.. wah was so happy tat now its somewhere near where i am working lol... tot it would be far but k k la . lol fated ah ? .. tot so too . next monday i will be going down to alexandra CKA ! . here i come ! lol.

hey was wondering heavy rain u all still got ride one or not...or take cab or bus...coz heavy rain sure cannot see anything plus the helmet visor also no wiper

not the question of whether can see or not but SAFETY. Ever notice just how many accidents there are on the eways after a downpour. Collided cars, overturned lorries, skidded motorcycles......sigh.

 

If really no choice since already halfway though the journey then wait under bridges till rain less heavy lor. Raincoat sometimes oso no help during heavy downpours. Helmet not really dat much of a problem, just wipe it wif ur hands when it gets hard to see.

 

If not yet leave home while raining then take car, cab or bus la :smile:

my last reservist (cycle-end liao) was at tuas naval camp, imagine got to travel 2+ hours by public transports from east to west. :giddy:

just need to change pass at the guard post n zoom into the camp, unless your camp is on an island (tekong). :cheeky:

no more tekong oredi loh!!! Time travelled oso bout the same la...ferry to island den take bus/tonner in to camp! Total time = 1.5hrs two and a half years dere more than enuf!! Reservist @ 2 PDF, Clementi camp.

 

Defensive riding cert got long during NS loh but dunno where i put oredi. Anywayz, if u full time NS i know can but everytime i go over to Pasir Laba camp, the reservist there told me they cant put their cars/ bikes in camp, unless you PC above.

 

Me only three stripes lor so dunno whether can bring in or not?:confused:
