btw most bikes now got six gear how come roadwin only got 5 gears

You can ask the manufacturers lolz! Btw not all bikes got six gears esp small cc bikes mind u  Most small cc 4 strokers (150 cc & below)

If you talking about 2 strokers most will have 6 due to their higher hp & torque output (max 34 hp unrestricted!), 6 or 7 gears will balance out the hp just fine. If u put 5 gears only, the bike will seem to drag while you cruise.

small cc 4 strokers on the other hand generates lesser hp (max 15hp). Given an inline 125cc displacement engine only, naturally 5 gears are adequate to translate into a smooth ride. Adding another gear may be be inappropriate since the engine cant give out enough juice to maintain torque and power on the extra gear unless youre having a Vtwin engine config or power mods.

ok understand liao

btw is the speedometer accurate

i believe 2B bike the speedometer not accurate maybe out by abt 10km/h

wah....if speedometer very accurate...TP will have more preys to saman!! lolz!

You dun wan that to happen do u?? Even TP bikes speedo are considered inaccurate. That is why, if you pass by a speed cam or radar gun, TP will still give about +10% tolerance of the exact read out due to different speedos.

Unless of coz, you pia 80km/h on a 50km/h stretch sure kena one. If you go at 70km/h, most prob they close one eye la.

asked cka whether can they do such thing or not, their answer is 'NO'. :sian:

Haiz....maybe u can the mod CDI. Might help...but a bit ex dun u think? $160. :sian:

His clutch worn out maybe coz of constant dragging. Not sure how extra speed can affect the transmission that bad. It should effect the piston and rings more

TP bikes speedo inaccurate? I think it's more of OUR bikes' speedo inaccurate that's why they give the allowance. But I guess most 2B bikes have speedos which are overclocked by 10km/h, so speeding alittle shouldn't be a problem. I used to ride a vespa which shows 60 on speedo but friends pace with me say I travel at 80. WTF?

Most newer bikes (esp bigger bikes) should be accurate to the dot because most of them run on digital tachometer. But still, mechanical speedos are not as inaccurate as you think, the fact is just that 2B bikes' speedos are deliberately overclocked. Even digital speedo on Wave 125S/I is overclocked by 10km/h. I dont' know why.

Though some say that it happens on all classes of bikes, wait till you get shot by a laser camera and see if your class 2 bike speedo accurate or not. Might be true for older cls 2/2A bikes (which I don't think so as well), definitely not for the newer models. I got snapped @ 129km/h on PIE written on summon when riding my S4, and I knew i was travelling @ 130km/h. Maybe abit of paralax error, but I know it's definitely accurate from there, huge price to pay to test your speedo though.
