The Gilera DNA 180 has been on the road for quite a while. FYI, it is an auto transmission bike. Also quite ex.....round 8-9 K when they advertised it last time :smile:

 

Not sure of the price now though

Tip: If any of your beloved rws starts to rust esp at the chrome area. Here'a a tip to make sure the rust doesn't spread.

 

1. Remove/loosen rust using WD40 followed by a smooth sand down using very fine glass/sand paper.

 

2. Wipe the rusted area with autosol/brasso till the rust patch dimishes or becomes less prominent.

 

3. Buy clear aerosol lacquer/paint (the $4-5 ones at any hardware/paint shop.) Spray on a piece of paper till u can swab liberally using a cotton swab (the one u use to clean ur ears).

 

4. Apply the clear lacquer on the rust area using the cotton swab. Apply at least two coats or as needed by u.

 

5. Take very good care of your bike so it'll always look like new!! :cheeky:

The DNA 180 got recalled back liao... there won't be any more new ones on the road... had thought of getting it before i learnt about the rw... many places dun have spare parts for this bike liao... even most piaggio dealers have no spare parts arh... anyway the price for a 2nd hand rw now is ard 4.5k arh... can't afford... :cheeky:

 

FYI : a 2nd hand one now goes for ard 3-3.5k with COE 7-8 yrs... price drop so fast almost no resale value for this bike arh....

Haha....of coz la. Coz bike not that popular and hard to find parts so resale value drops very fast.

 

Thats the bad thing bout small cc bikes. Resale value drops a lot faster compared to large cc.

 

The one thing good is that if u know how to do up the bike back or know of a shop that does it for a reasonable price..than u are actually saving lots since its easier and cheaper to repair and maintain small cc bikes

Finally managed to get my bike washed. Phew! Anyway, the stainless steel cleaner looks quite effective but now the part that has been polished seems to be more silverish in colour

Saw a red roadwin bike at tamp today Fx 4 or 3 something.. Maybe living around stsoh area coz he was riding there..20+ malay if i am notwrong. Btw anyone of u used zeus box before? is it like inferior compared to givi box. Coz all the zeus box like going dirt cheap. Any diff between the box? :offtopic:

i using zeus...its the only one that has matching maroon red to go with my bike. You can oso try Kappa. yob_rekib is using that box on his ta200. Wonder what happened to hom :confused:

I think i am getting a 2nd hand from garage sales. Theres 2 in the forum GIvi 45 and zeus 42L . any idea how much cka will charge me for all the installation of the box and lights?

Think like quite a lot of roadwin around our area. today i saw a gal riding a fy plate and the Fz37 malay guy staying at your house there. The gal also P plate. I guess she also like me first bike roadwin. :thumb:

Should be quite cheap. Maybe round 20. Unless u just get the box without the mounting brackets than it would be near $100 coz the mounting brackets expensive, round $70 - 80.

all comes together in 1 set lah bro....actually i am looking for someone to buy but till now i still searching bro...

the box and the rack is 100% already used for about 2 weeks only...

Nope i wanna upgrade.. E33 too small...my packing skills still not so good. i cant stuff much in. plus if need to pillion need to make space for anbother helmet. Wah just got caught in the rain.
