Like soh said, because the X5 only has 15cc more, so top speed will likely remain due to similar gear ratio between the two. However, pick up will increase.

 

Currently, the 2004 RW has between 11-12 HP, the X5 will likely to have around 13 HP similar to the Varadero 125 and Comet. Adjusting the sproket ratio like stsoh said will increase your top end.

 

Currently my ratio of 15/40 can only max out @ 9000 rpms @ round 115 km/h. So prolly the X5 can hit 120 - 125 @ round 10000 rpms since it has more HP to pull by.

 

However if you willing to take the risk, you can upgrade to the 165/150 cc kit to achieve better pick up and top end. I believe a link was posted regarding the sale of the kits?

 

Advice that you do all this AFTER your warranty period has EXPIRED. Or you'll be forfeting that warranty. Also, if i'm not mistaken, warranty is only valid to the first owner of the bike.

i don't mind to upgrade my rw later like wat u say after the warranty period.But izzit possible to achieve top speed 140km/h after upgrading and how much money i have to prepare for the purpose of upgrading itself? if it is so, i will save the money from now onwards in order to make my rw more outsanding in terms of style,power and performance bro....

I believe it is possible if u upgrade to a 165 cc kit and change to a 16/40 sproket set up. However it has not been tested by anyone in singapore yet. Stsoh also remarked in the old postings that by incrementing the ignition timing by 3-5 degrees can also help to increase speed.

 

A believe a m'sian rider did that and managed near 130 - 140 :confused:

You can ask soh about this though.
