Testing 2nd hand motorcycle

Hey guys. I'll be getting my licence soon and I'm curious whether it is alright to test the seller's bike before closing the deal. From what I know we have to get insurance first before even riding it. However how can we buy insurance if we're not sure if the bike is suitable for us and working well? Thanks !

by right, you cannot ride. can start engine, pillion etc.

Alright =) Are there any procedures of closing a deal or such? Like signing an agreement before heading down to LTA? Any past examples?

You buy the insurance for the bike only if you confirm buying it. You don't need to buy insurance just for "test ride".
