Hi. I need someone to help me out. Recently my sub met an accident with a bike. My sub was at fault so he gave he his particular and plate number taken. What should i do as i am the owner of the bike and my premium will go up for the next coming insurance payment? if i change bike will my insurance amount will goes up due to this claim? Please help me out.

your premium will surely go up if there are claim and you will lose your NCB. your premium will be affected even if you change bike. ask your sub-rider to be responsible and pay for his mistake. that about all you can do.

 

if you can't accept such issues, best is to keep your ride to yourself.

If there is no injuries, and the other party is willing to go on private settlement, then the sub should just pay for the damages that he caused. If the sub can't pay, then it's either you pay or let insurance claim takes it naturally course. Then your subsequent premium will not be affected provided you have already lodged a report with insurer within the time frame stipulated in the policy.

Once a claim has been submitted, as long as its in your name, all insurers will have this information. A few will not even insure you if the claim is alarming huge.
