Hello Adierms.

For replacement of any horn you have to remove the front of our bike,

main reason is that the OEM horn is located in between the headlights.

First remove Windshield

Remove four windshield cover bolts on both sides with a 10mm socket.

Connectors are located behind the front

Please remove carefully

Green wire = Negative / LG = Light Green wire = Positive OEM horn

I also would like to advise that if it comes to quality/loudness "Stebel" is one of the best brands to get.

Here's a simple example of my former DownTown.

"Stebel HF 80/" (136 db) (Don't need wiring kit, just connect straight onto Positive/Negative OEM horn)

(left side is Kymco OEM)

DownTown is a couple of years a go so for Xc I would like to get myself something new.

"Stebel Nautilus" Compact Motor Bike Air Horn (139 dB)

(need wiring kit, relay included in kit)

No delay... so honk and action!

Url....: http://www.valkmotive.com/webshop/horns/horns-with-built-in-compressor/stebel-nautilus-compact-black/NCZ

Click here for the installation manual

Note:

You don't have to pull "negative wire 3" from horn to battery,

instead you can connect wire 3 nearby the horn straight onto ground.

So you only have to pull one positive wire all the way from relays too battery.

Happy weekend Jan :thumb:

b.t.w.

All air horn's are using relays, so they are all installed

just like the installation manual above ;)

Good one [email protected] bad nautilus is prohibited in our country as its considered an air horn..

Ok, then rulez in Kuala Lumpur = Adierms is maybe different.

In Holland air horn is aloud.... only horn rule we have is that you are not aloud to use melody horn.

And another rule is too not use horn if there's no danger, otherwise you get a ticket for careless use.

Ticket price 350 euro aka: 605 SGD

Yes adierms, the wiring diagram for that double electric horn is okay :thumb:

If you not going to use OEM horn anymore you can leave relay pin 86 unconnected.

If you also going to use OEM horn connect relay pin 86 to Positive OEM horn

and connect Negative OEM horn to ground.

A horn or a electric starter are the highest power consumers of a motorcycle, so especially for a double horn 20 amps okay.

Pin connection of a relays is always the same... so everything is just fine

onto your wiring diagram.

You will find plenty space behind the front tupperware, you just have to find out yourself what is the best location for the double horn.

Tip:

You can mount the relays besides the 2 OEM headlight relay's.

See yellow mark on screenshot below for location.

You can also mount the Ground wire somewhere over there onto that iron bracket.

http://www.freebits.nl/images/645Locatie.jpg

After my first how to remove explanation/message you also first have to remove the parts below to mount that horn relay.

http://www.freebits.nl/images/821Covermeter.jpg

http://www.freebits.nl/images/610Covermeter2.jpg

Take care also that you mount the 20 amp fuse onto the right side of the battery compartment.

Use also a good thick red Positive wire!

After remove the front tupperware you will notice on the left side the handbrake cable.

10 centimeter beneath that handbrake cable you can find the inside of a tunnel.

Note: also have to remove luggage box

All you have to do is first pull/guide a thick copper wire true that tunnel.... and guide it all the way too the battery compartment.

Then next on the scooter front side bind your red Positive wire onto the copper-wire and pull the wire gently true the tunnel to the backside

of your scooter.

As soon as your out of the tunnel you can pick-up/guide the wire by hand.

There's enough space besides the battery so everything should be fine.

Wish you all the luck you need.

b..t.w.

To do this job I remove all tupperware in 30 minutes.

The Bossman says yes. It's still in testing phrase... Akan Datang...

Bossman is always right

Bosch ABS module isn't big and can be easy mounted behind tilt-switch.

Small detail is the abs control lamp in dash, and maybe programming the ECU

Is it true that the ABS model has an extra parking brake light ?

Posted

Red Parking brake light is on left side dashboard (I guess none abs got it too) ... and on rear side of moto no difference between break lights from none or abs version.

So the answerer on your question is NO
