intending between maxsym and xciting 400...seems like theres more xciting otr than maxsym...anything particular that xciting has a upper hand over maxsym ,in terms of fc or performace or maintaince intervals...

Not from first had experience, but was told by a friend who owns Xciting 400 and Maxsym 400. To summarise, he said Maxsym is for highway cruising whereas the Xciting 400 is more for sporty rides and twisty roads.

Original too low. Givi or Kappa too tall. Xciting 500 original windshield and also ermax is just nice.

Not so concerned abt the windshield, more concerned abt the height of bike. I tried n need to tip top, I worried when emergency, I might not be able to handle the bike

Hahah... during emergency, brake harder and your bum willnslide forward where it is lower. Then you don't have to tip toe anymore... it is not the height of the bike but the width of the seat which makes us sit kang kang leading us having to tip toe...

So sitting forward will solve the problem. When you have moved off then you can slide your bum back.

@ userGr

Nope didn't buy myself any clutch.

I have the MiVV exhaust but I think even with Db-killer it's way to loud.

And if it comes too performance the OEM exhaust is just fine, only good thing from after-market exhaust is that it's smaller and in case of the MiVV about 4,5 kilo lighter.

UserGR, does the Polini variator reach the 8000rpm. ?

@ Ramzi

I think the big nut onto clutch is 45mm.

Do you already have the Malossi set?

I can tell you that it really is da bom :bouncefire:

Cheers Jan

hi Jan!

I was away for a few days and i just found some time to answer!

I hane only 1600km to my xciting so i feel sorry to reach top speed at this time!

I read that you are trying to reach 8000 r.p.m. to rise top speed!

With the Polini variator xciting accelerates much faster....

If you want to increase top speed you have to use heavies rollers and do something to rise at the same time the acceleration.

i think that you must use harder clutch springs to rise the r.p.m of the clutch engagment => greater acceleration, but also to use heavier rollers to rev the engine higher...

I will soon use a dr pulley clutch and make some tests.

I will give you my results....

I also saw that you have tested

THE: +20% / 800rpm Clutch spring

what did you feel as a difference with the tech pulley spring?

Just a little higher rpm before take of.

The Malossi I have, got 10 gram rollers and I still have to test that +20% spring instead of the Malossi +13% spring that I use now.

With use of lighter rollers it make more sense to use harder spring.

Cheers Jan

Change fork springs and also rear absorber. Check with Wong of Kymco Sg. As for vibration while moving off, remove your clutch and clean of all tue dust and then with a rough sand paper, roughen up the clutch pads. That should give you smoother accelaration from standstill.
