How do I get rid of the red "on service" sign? After 5k mileage, it's always turned on when the engine is running.

A / Press the "ADJ" button for 2 seconds, then displays the ODO, TRIP (A,B) or OIL-SERVICE mode

 

B/ Press the "ADJ" and MODE button for 2 seconds simultaneously at the OIL_SERVICE mode, then the indicator go out automatically

Wat Criteria are u looking for in yr tire?

 

I'm using feelfree radial now and find it has very good grip dry. On wet, still not as stable. Don't get me wrong no one in his right mind will play with corners in de wet but the few incidents i encounter are normal cornering n u can feel that the tire skidded a tiny bit. Maybe its oil patch I really don't know but now I'm extra careful when negotiating bends in de wet.

 

Next tire I'll try is de diablo which has been proven by so many bikers. The only down side is it doesnt last as long but this actually show how good a grip the tire is.

 

That said, the reason I'm changing is b cos I'm gonna test these tires to find out which one I prefer and stick to it until a better one comes by.

 

There's also dunlop, michelin, bridgestone out there which you might wanna try. Do note all tires come with radial construction these days which is more expensive dan bias.

Bro he is. The light is set at every 5k to remind u to service. Not all will follow de recommendation n i'm one of them. So when it light up just follow J@n post and it will go off.

For Dunlop you may want to chk with ms. But make sure the tires are in pairs.

Anyone else having problem with some kind of metallic noise from the front system when driving over bumps and imperfections in the road?

 

Same problem with my bike. The sound definitely comes from the front part, below the speedo/odometer area..

It is more likely from the brakes.. the brake pads have 2 metal things that keep them from doing that noise.. it sounds kind of crazy but it comes from there!

You (not you, the service) have to bend them in a shape that stops the noise

Check your erp unit cable that is in between the windscreen and dash. Maybe that where the sound came from.

Sounds not crazy, infact you are 100% right... you tok about the "pad retainers".

People like you and Pipi can indeed solve that metal noise issue by just bend-over the U-form on both sides of each "pad retainer" a little.

I don't have this problem, but it's a well know issue onto motorcycles, (and even car's) it can happen everybody, but always easy to solve

Mostly It also disappears when you assemble new pads.
