Need help from your experience on these bikes . Thinkning of getting one of these bikes , but dont know which to get.

I would like to know the FC , maintenance , after market parts , servicing , gearbox , etc. ESP servicing in JB. Personally I love the outlook of SYM 400/600.

What do you guys think?

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Both I also like, Tmax look solid since it's made by Yamaha. OK, thx for the advise.

Who told you the tires cost 500+?

I just changed a few months back. Pirelli diablo, $380.

Anyway if you're thinking of sending the bike to JB for servicing, get the SYM. The agent is about 40mins from the checkpoint.

Unless you have deep pocket if not don't touch Tmax. Tires is one thing and other parts also ex. If you wanna have fun on your bike. I rather get those super sport 600cc. More fun and cost almost the same. Unless you don't like changing gears and cant stand zero storage space.

If the TS is already thinking of sending to JB for servicing then you can't go wrong with the max sym.. They even have the agent there at Skudai.

And I believe the max sym is more economical than the Tmax. Not to mention boot space.

Tmax is a totally different category from a normal maxi.. scooter with motorcycle handling.. direct competitor should be honda integra NC700D or BMW C650

I agree. But more maxis are becoming more sporty. Don't forget the aprilia SRV 850 scooter (I think).

True also.. but I'm not sure how sport maxi handling compares to the big boys.

My Tmax is fun to ride on twisty Malaysian B roads. It's pretty agile and flicking it from side to side seems effortless. Downside is the engine braking isn't really effective hence the short lifespan of the brake pads. Cruising at high speed is also very stable.

The older Tmax has issues on its fuel pump but still I meet riders who rode a Tmax, sold them for other bikes and in the end still buy back a Tmax. :) price wise, a new Tmax now is almost a FZ1.

what is wrong with the older tmax's fuel pump?

does it have to be serviced regularly? or does it have to be changed regularly? how much does it cost roughly?
