been wondering about the stock specs and parts for the XL2. have been googling and haven't been able to find anything... in particular, i'd like to know the stock carb for the bike. any XL riders care to help. if dunnoe the stock, maybe just share the carb that is currently on the bike. i've got a mikuni on my baby...

 

btw. also looking for some feedback frm other XL riders. do you have any issues with your gearbox. i find that i have a bit of prob shifting down to 1st or 2nd after braking frm high speed... even when i brake dwn to abt 20. and also when i'm waiting at traffic light, sumtimes cannot kick down to 1st. i usually rev a bit first then can tap down normally... anyone have this prob as well?

i have the manual for the 2001 model in pdf format. however i dont have the parts book.

 

i think the prob u mentioned is very common la... nt jsut for xl

generally its an old bike problem
