SV650 Coming to an End this NOV... still thinking of the retain this bike or change to a TL1000S/R if I can find a cheap and good one But got the golfer elbow. freaking painful to ride. Think i might drop to riding an auto scooter.

It's been a while since I've been riding. However I'm currently searching for a 1st gen SV650S. Is there any known issues/problems with the 1st gen SV650S? What is the average FC like? What are service intervals like?

 

And finally, how effective is the head fairing? I am hoping to do a fair bit of touring on the bike, so some wind protection is very much appreciated given the weather over here.

As for the wind factor, what other bikes did you ride prior to the sv650?

So far the bikes I ride average speed under 100kph. It can get rather chilly over here.

I rode s4 before this and I simply crouch down. If I have my tankbag, it's usually up to my chest height and deflects most of the windblast.
