I am buying a Trail tech vapor gauge ONLINE to TOTALLY replace my SV stock dash. My Speedo Cable busted, and a new one cost $150++.. So No freaking point!

Anyone interested? combine shipping can save me some $$$! Will be buying the model MEANT FOR SV650 SV400 guys, I check with Trail Tech for compatibility if you guys interested.

I will fabricate the backplate with Aluminum sheets, so after removal of the stock meter, I can blank out the HOLES.

If you like to have 2 meter, meter can be mounted on other location.

Once Stock arrived we can DIY together to get it fixed.

US$129 + Shipping ~US$30 which ~Sg$200++

With combine shipping might lower total price less than Sg$200.

Will only order if I get the at least 50% deposit, So if no show

Alfred,

Someone is interested to own an SV650. Check it out.

I'll take cups of coffee as my commission if things work out.

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.

yah ... currently there for fork/suspension servicing, dunno where else to send.

front ones planet do, back ones send to Teck Thye (according to ah chong).

so many planet regulars ah?

Posted

i tio owned, apparently there's no way to service the forks. either brand new swop, or lppl with existing ones.

the planet boys strip it down only to discover this as well

does any of u have had similiar experience? searching through this thread didn't reveal much.

What is wrong with your fork?

the suspension too nua, i can feel every little bumps on a flat road surface.

thought it would be a good idea to service the forks/suspension as i have never done it throughout my ownership, but like i mentioned i was told it cannot be done :(

maybe i go ask around other shops that specialises in suspension.

I mentioned to my Mech that I want to mod a Inverted fork on my SV, he say it is possible... He did mentioned, that he can grab a GSXR400 inverted fork and transfer to my SV. I do see some compatibility issues... like Wheel, Speedo cables...

So if can get the whole front fork, including the RIM, brakes set (include Disc), clamps... If the steering cone size fit. Ho Say liao!

Think in Sg, very seldom mod till like that... where as overseas, they even make the thread sticky...

Dream Mod

- Inverted Forks

- Single Swing Arm

- Twin Carbon or Under-Tail exhaust

- High power LED Head lights

- Projector Fog lights for High Beam (like those in R1)

for the last 2, I have a spare Head cowl. I might be able to work out something when I got spare time.

Now all I need is to buy hundred White LEDs (Narrow view angle) and a pair of Hella Projection Fog lights. should be nice

cannot service? Means what? I thought you could always at least replace the springs, fork oil and seals?

Fork & suspension can be service. Spring, if damaged, has to be replace. If the shop tells you these cannot be service, chances are they want you to convince you to replace with them.

You can check out the bike shop which I have posted in earlier page to check out the price if you wana service the fork / suspension. But if you are on a heavier build, it's worthwhile consider after-market parts as the stock suspension system is on the softer side.
