Harley Riders gather

Recommended Posts

Ya man. Basket that time wanna look for fellow riders so little. Now so many, especially sporties. Grrr..Shall we meet and yak one of these days? Not necessarily Harleys only. Just a thread gathering. Mix of ex, present and future Harley owners. Of course we'll be talking mostly about Harleys so I guess we can welcome those who are interested who would like to know more about the bike. What say you guys? Proposed date and locations anyone? Maybe in 2 or 3 weeks time? Give us time to plan our schedules.

I say - great idea. Maybe a Sat or Sun arvo ride followed by a feed a drink and a yak (not the goat type). I'm actually going to check out a Sporty for my wife this arvo.

Cheers

So your wife finally caved? Heee. It'll be awhile before I'm back on one. Sigh.

This weekend and possibly next I'm out. Oh shucks. I think I'm out for the next 4 Sats. *curses tat I'd normally type should go here but SBF censors them* Maybe a Sunday gathering instead?

Actually she's not fully caved yet but I'm workin on it. Lookin at an older one (94, 883) that we can do up a bit. I like the idea of having an older noisy Sporty with carbs to take for a quick fang every now and again.

Sundy arvo's r mostly fine for me.

My Screaming Eagle rear tyre only lasted 11k Klm - actually it was quite bald I should have changed at 10k klm. The tyre was good and sticky but I was dissapointed with the life as the price is high.

I've just put on the Metzeler ME 880 which has a similar tread pattern - I am told that the mileage will be much better. Time will tell. Anyone else using the 880's?

I only put the rear 150/80/16. Bought from Yee yesterday. He had them is stock so worth a try. Not cheap though at $360 but still much cheaper than the SE and I like the tread pattern better than the Dunlops particularly for wet weather.
