Let you guys have a laugh at my expense... This is what happens when you go to far on the forward controls

I look ridiculous, right

(this is a customized VStar at a bike showroom in US. Check out the LEDs in the hypercharger! :thumb:)

At least you still can reach. A customised Softail Heritage I sat on in Tasmania, the forward controls was too far for me.

It has been done many times before you can speak to Yee at Sunburst or Ming at Sumsoon (they will know diameter required for good pitch etc.).

Normally riders will keep their stock pipes for annual LTA inspections. Also easier to sell your ride later on if buyer knows he can pass LTA inspections with the original pipes and not have additional expense.

I suppose it's a "non-reversible" mod?

Mine is Over DrivEn. hahaa..like transport bike like that. Everytime low on gas on like dry engine sound. Any one know anything about it or came across something like that before?

dry engine sound...hmm...i cant imagine.

Tranny oil - check?

Primary oil - check?

Engine oil - check? 20sae/50w?

last service with oil filter swopped?

Air-Filter Cleaned?

We gotta rule out one by one and then xplore further.

i'm no guru but any trouble shooting should begin from the basics.

Lookout for leaks from block especially on the rods....that would imply loss of pressure or excess.

Hi Harley bros...

I was wondering how much does it cost to maintain a harley sportster 883, anyone can share breakdown of the various cost?

my class 2 tp is end of this month and initoially tot of getting a class 2 naked street bike, but then again the reason why i got started on bikes is because i love the cruiser look and the sheer thunder rolls of a harley.. i currently ride a phantom and am thinking of getting a 2nd hand sportster, would appreciate if bros here can help me out with my query

regards

hi farish,

Contrary to popular believe...... it's doent cost an arm or a leg to maintain a Harley let alone a Sportster.

Sportsters r the most cost effective when it comes to servicing.

In Authorised Workshops

An approximate gauge wld be in the region of $125

(engine oil, primary oil, oil filter, plugs)

DIY

$50

At Harley Dealership

i'm not certain as i've not had the pleasure of their 'esteemed' service.

(please in-put guys)

In a nut-shell...u cant go wrong with a sporty.

note: service it every 5k km to preserve its integrity.

Lun: The vibes I guess. If the mojo ain't working, no point shaking it.

Ya man, wanna just rip off a forward control and stick in on own one. Though I wonder if can have dual controls. i.e. both mid and forward controls working. Sure damn messy though.

Go pump together leh one day. I'm running low. Again! Gar!

I would like to add on to what designer dude said, it is actually cheaper to own a Harley then a Japanese Bike, trust me.

You can almost forget about rusting chains as it is belt driven, Jap bikes often have to change tensioner and cam rods and it is a little ex.

Servicing is about the same. If not, slightly cheaper.

All as well, ends well.
