@silly_wonka87, don't consider..! Go get it..! Haha..! So far servicing is $128 at every 5000km for me.. Havn't tasted valve clearence, so I can't advice on that yet..

Service by agent.. $128.25 to be exact..

1) $19.26 - labour

2) $24 - oil filter

3) $84 - 3L Agip EO($28/L)

4) $1 - Drain plug gasket(washer)

That's about it for my recent(first) servicing with my M400..

Guys, I've got acouple of quick questions..

1) If I want to install a slip-on exhaust, do I have to tune my bike..? Or is it just plug and play..?

2) If I buy a second hand RCS 19 masterpump and RCS 16 clutchpump from SBF, can I get Minerva to install it for me..? And if so, any idea of the labour charge..?

Thanks for your replies..!

So did you get the bike in the end?

I ride a 696 too and one of the reasons why I chose this over the older Ducati models (m400 etc) is because it's 'newer technology (fuel injection etc)' so technically, it might give me less to think about. Of course this varies between different bikes.

Furthermore, I read in US forums that they use the 696 for daily transport and their distances to and from work are substantially larger than our small distances. The bike can withstand more than one might think. Maintenance and servicing is standard but if you set aside certain budget for it over the year, then it's manageable.

I ride it to work everyday and it's my daily commuter bike. I keep regular servicing and it's fine. My only gripe is that the stock mirrors make it wider so splitting in between lanes on a congested road is trickier than I am used to but that could be remedied by shorter mirrors (which I have yet to source. any recommendations anyone? lol).

thanks for sharing your experience :)

Hello Ducatians,

Are there any recomended street legal exhuast for ducati monster 1100 in the market other than termig titanium? I heard for Gmax that Leovince GP style are street leagal and they are quoting 1800$. any one using them already and any feedback would be appriciated.

I have Termig Carbon exhuast which i love but have to strip out as its not streetlegal :(

HI ALL, I have faced a problem which all bikes faced for a long time.

Recently i moved to Bukit Merah Area and suddenly, last week when activating my rear brake, the caliper came off... to my surprise because i just had it serviced at HKL and all is properly fixed.

So, someone is trying to setal my rear brembo. (BTW i ride a 695)

Anyway I can buy any lock for the caliper?? I think even covering the bikes does not make sense becaise u got to open the cover and bring it up and come down again to ride as I ride it almost daily to work.

Cover your bike. Bring a backpack for storing the cover and bring it to work.

Best is buy those cover that come with lockable function.

Hi @dodobird, is it true that the M400 service intervals is at every 10Kkm instead of 5Kkm and valve clearance is every 20Kkm instead of 10Kkm..? Thanks, appreciate your help..

Hi, i apologize for the super late reply. i dun log in anymore.

to answer your qns, yes, the official service intervals is 10kkm. and valve clearance is 20kkm. this is for the older machines. newer machines are stretching it longer. but some EO dun last as long as 10kkm, eg. motul 300v & agip, after abt 3kkm, u will feel the need to change.

to anyone who needs answers to their questions, you can find my contact details somewhere within this thread. drop me a whatsapp and i will be more then willing to assist.
