I used to ride a Monster 400, sold it already, and I really miss it alot.

Confirm it's Terminogni Carbon fibre. Condition shld be 9/10. What would be a reasonable price?

I think the diff sound of the liquid cool is becos of the narrow-head that make the music softer. N since onli the liquid cool have N-H. Thats y monster always sound louder IMO. But then the 916 without the testa shd be loud too.

 

Btw the new exhaust on ur ex wife look great hor? but the sound is not refined?

Hi guys & gals, juz sold my sports and will b riding a monster soon, wonder how's the handling of the bike. Have been used to Honda bikes & abit worried if i can get use to Ducati engine ......

What are you changing from?

 

From my limited experience, the smaller Monsters are also the lightest, easiest to handle, and alot of fun.

 

You'll have to get used to the engine though, not that its hard to use, but the amount of TLC it needs. But give it proper care, and it will reward you. Scrimp on maintenance and i'll bite.

Juz sold my F4i, going to ride M6 but need some servicing 1st. Well, have never tried on a Italian bike. I'm already used to Honda's predictable and tame nature, worried of Italian tocky engine especially on low rpm... Not so much on its weight but rather the nature of its engine.....

At absolutely low RPMs, a V-twin will always feel lumpy because the power pulse is half that of an inline4 (4 power pulses per cycle as compared to two).

 

But V-twins are more fun to use, have better feel and all that. If you're used to the F4i then I'm sorry to say, you'd be dissapinted with the power of the M600. That being said, I'll bet you'll enjoy the Monster more than your F4i.

 

Inline4s are easier to use, but V-twins are alot more fun and involving to ride. The M600 is a nice bike, but why not get the M900? The difference in price is not very much, and maintenance costs exactly the same.

Personally i find it a good round the town bike n very 'flickable'. So handling as in town riding shd be no problem at all. As for track, used to be the chassis of the 888 superbike. So i deduce track performance shd be ok. ( high mount pipes n racing footpegs both 1500k+)

 

Beside the point, i met Peter( Sols's dad) n he is still as enthu as previous abt meeting up or even arrange touring with our Ducks. I always reply 'sure sure', 'definitely'. But i seriously think it will be a feat even for all the Ducks to gather...judging from the gathering in this forum....let alone touring.

 

Ok ppl R U all enthu abt a Duck gathering or shd i just tell Peter to forget that idea. I just hate the feeling of telling him sure sure but aft a year later..sure sure. He always seems so enthu abt the gathering n i tot we can make it come true for the benefits of all of us...hmm...all of us...y not then...hmmm :confused:

Touring with ducks, even naked ones (Monsters) is no problem at all, as long as you keep below 140 (or 160 if you have a screen).

 

But where do you guys wanna go? Dinner? weekend trip? or just tag along with one of the Trips in the triptrills forum.

 

Btw, after I sold my bike everyone seems to be getting nice street bikes. My neighbour just bought a Yamaha MT-01, and parks right beside me. Arghh, the torture!!!!
