i think its because my engine can't create some sort of vacuum to open up the valves...does it mean i gotta send to workshop to start it? mine is sportster so impossible to push start it. anybody got advice

I am just curious. Why couldn’t you push start your Sportster? It isn’t a difficult task or is it?

Anyway a few things you could check but, I would recommend bringing it back to your dealer for more detail check if you still couldn’t start up the bike

.

- check your breather tube

- try draining the gas from the carb

- check your valve clearance

- increasing your fuel intake screw

- check if gas is getting to the carb

- a case of weak spark or spark plug is wet?

- low idling?

:goodluck:

I am glad you managed to start up your bike. Did you eventually bring the bike to your mechanic for detailed check on the cause?

Happens to my sportster. It takes a minimum amount of gas to start the bike. I think about 2litres. I've sold that bike away.

I hope sportster1200 didn't inherit your bike

I push start my Sportster twice before.

Once on a long slope amd the other with 02 helpers at rear. Both are with 2nd gear.

First time was because I was lazy, so roll down ... LOL

Second time was because battery gone flat.

I don't think your bike suffers from some serious problems. After you had started it, should be running as normal.
