i'm currently riding a phantom now, and sometimes its difficult to reverse up a slanted parking lot.

anyway, is there any shop that install a reverse gear for phantom or stead?

planning to upgrade next year but i don't think i can handle the weight

Sorry to dampen your spirits but I dont think a phantom can handle such a tech at the moment. Even for the bigger bikes we dont have such an option unless factory fitted.

How big are you?? personally I am quite small. 1.68m but i can touch both legs on the ground on a phantom and have ridden big bikes. agree when you on slope, especially if at stop but i am sure you are not at slope all the time?? right??

i'm a girl below 1.6m, can't really take taller bikes either. i have to tip toe on vespa eh..

i'm not sure if such a thing as reverse gear mod exist as it would mean u have to mod the gear box. but my advise to you is to always park with the front facing up slope. cauz i face this problem too on my cb400 haha. the worst thing that happened to be on a slope was i went downslope into an underground carpark and it says no motorcycles allowed at the barrier and i'm still on the slope unable to reverse lol.

The only bike with reverse gear in SG is PGO TR3-150 or PGO I`ME WELBIKE.

150cc 3 wheeler scooter. :D

Hi,

the engine block/compartment on the TA200 does not have the space required to install an additional gear, let alone a reverse gear.

If possible, try to never park facing downwards on a slope.

Why? not really because its harder to manoeuvre the the bike.

It's because your (side) stand might flip-up if you bike kana hit, nudged, etc...

never take things for granted. (mainstand always the best, but it may not be an option for some, especially for you since TA200 doesn't have it)

Also,

the other bike with a reverse gear is the Honda Goldwing... Now, thats a bike that definitely needs a reverse gear! :puke:

just my $0.02

Goodee hor hot goodee... Mat witz sebastian! :p

Ahem. Last SBF anniversary gathering at Orchard, I saw this group of ladies riders riding all class 2 bikes. 1 lady whom really caught my attention was a very petite, shorter than me maybe 1.6m and much much lighter than me riding a Suzuki Bandit 1200. girl, do you how heavy and tall that bike is? she handled like so easy. luckily I thought of my 2 children at home or else I could have dated her.

Anyway, my advise is try not going up slope. avoid if possible. get used to riding it on normal road. build up your confidence and strength
