Versys 650, as the words "VERsatile SYStem" where its name came, is a competent do it all bike, be in as a canyon carver, highway cruiser or city commuter.

 

Its 650cc parallel twin motor gives a healthy dose of real world torque, serving from 3k-8k rpm range, without burning a hole at the pumps. 22km/l - 24km/L i what i consistently get be it city riding to forays up north.

 

Made in Japan. Parts can be easily sourced and the higher north you go, the cheaper it is.

 

As its almost apporaching the golden 100k mark, a full top overhaul was done recently to extend and ensure its longevity. Works inc injector cleaning, valve clearance/adjustment, timimg chain replacements on top of the regular servicing. Clutch plates too.

 

Basically another 100k till the next major works. Did i also mention that the chain/tyres is good enough for 15k clicks?
