Hi undertaker,

 

i ll be doing a malacca ride on e 26th feb, along with another 2 frens. main thing is 2 get some food, a bit of sightseeing & a nite of hotel. we r planning 2 reach abt 12pm in e aftnoon on e 26th, then leave on e 27th. there r some stuffs i gonna need some help on. namely,

 

1 - directions; which exit to take at NSH? is e stretch fr NSH to malacca a long one? or complicated? rd signs 2 look out for?

 

2 - earlier posts suggest lotsa food in malacca but since we r only there 4 2D1N, i reckon tat we probably wouldn't finish everything. we r looking at the famous/touted chick riceballs@jonker, nyona baba restaurant, chendol, wanton mee@bunga raya, tim sum etc, if ya know wat i mean. we need directions 2 these food outlets as well.

 

3 - hotels? saw recommendations like wallmark etc. well, me & my frens r a easy bunch. we only need aircon & hotwater bath. quality is not an issue. price range shld not exceed RM120. so how do we go abt booking hotels?? thru e net? phone booking? or book on e spot?? availability? we do not want to left stranded on the streets at nite.

 

4 - some famous sightseeing spots & their locations/directions. we probably wouldn't have time to do everything, so we ll only do e famous/popular ones.

 

5 - recommended nite spots?? juz in case we r still energetic by nitefall, we ll probably grab some drinks & feel e vibes.

 

6 - directions to hit back on southbound NSH back to SG.

glad to know its ur 1st time coming to malacca, k i try to answer ur questions

 

1. take the "Ayer Keroh" exit, its approx 205km +/- 2km, count from the JB toll booth. just set ur odometer reading at 0km from Jb, then about 200km at the NSH u slow down. u will see a signboard showing Ayer keroh, Melaka.

i can take u guys around if u want, just wait for me right after the ayer keroh toll booth.

 

2. can take u around to few of this eating spots if u want. but be prepared for some traffic jam and huge crowd on weekends.

 

3. u sure wont be stranded on the streets at nite, if it really happen then i accompany u lah, steady boh ? hehe... ok anyway about hotels i can ask my fren to help u book a room or two in advance. no problem about that

 

4. malacca to me only have a few trade-mark spots to visit. unless u mean go riding out of town into the hillside twisties.

 

5. night spots are not a problem, whether u want a mamak or pub or disco, all r avaiable.

 

6. directions i can lead u guys back, i stay very near to the toll exit.

 

btw, wat bikes r u n ur frens riding? if u really want a more relaxed and fun filled stay, i recommend u come to malacca on thursday , stay a night and go back on friday. guarantee u sure satisfied , cos our bikers club here have rides on thursday evenings, and the program is exactly the same as wat u guys r looking for. just dat there will be a group of bikes goin together.

wow u guys kena speed trap that time? anyway dun think spore bikes need to pay the fine, the police wont go to ur houses to catch u la. i think next time u guys better cover up ur number plates when on the NSH. their radar guns now r quite up-to-date, my fren got caught doing 240km/h lei...

 

i still searching for some of my bike's spare parts, actually dint manage to get any 2nd hand stuff at all. had to buy new from the spore dealer. cost me a damn bomb. now i wanna look for a set of front forks and a 17" front rim, very hard to come by lah. guess thats the hiccup when using a superbike in malaysia. even now my tyre also have to order 1 week beforehand.... sighs...

i oredi decided wanna restore n upgrade the bike performance so next year i can have an extra bike to go track with it
