Thanks, will check this shop tomorrow personally

Never been to this shop, don't know where exactly

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

It's a motodiam located behind Old Southerns at Jln Bt Merah

Oh! you mean those shop inside Alexandra Village?

Been there many times, think their webpage is nicer than the actual shop.

I park my bike else where and walk around those shops asking question,

look at big bikes and receive different treatment.

Never check out their tyres, maybe this time I will.

Guys, went down to Southerns and HKL earlier.

Southerns quoted $330 for Pilot Road.

Went over to HKL to enquire and was quoted $380. How come the difference so big?

Went upstairs to talk to the boss (Ah Bee) and told him Southerns charging $330.

He couldnt believe it either and immediately called Southerns / Ah Huat, turned on the speaker and I listened to the conversation as well.

Ah Huat over the phone told him $370.

Afterwhich, Ah Bee offered me same price $370 as well.

What went wrong? Is it becos Ah Huat dun wanna spoilt market and told Ah Bee $370 instead?

Ps: HKL giving free digital tyre pressure guage (worth $25) for change of tyres and their balancing machine looks newer. Not sure if its regularly calibrated or not though.

Which shop would you choose?

bro if they really quote u 330 for pilot road then that dirt cheap.. but which year one????... dat time i went there they quote me 380 to 400

Sorry guys, really sorry...

I'm not familiar with the area there and i can't find the way there.

And i learn a lesson, the bike is too heavy and the U-turn really need to be very big one...I almost drop the bike in the middle of the road...My heart sink to the core of the earth!!!

After that all the mood goes off so i went back and ended up at seletar reservoir...

Really have to plan my route well next time!!!

Learned my lesson...

Hi, guys,

I just came back from the motor-diam at Alexandar Village. I asked the boss that I have 3 other friends (me bull-shited a bit lah) riding FJR and + myself, a total of 4 bikes, wanting to change to Z6 tyres too. I asked him to give me a best price. I told him you guys checked out Southern and HKL and were quoted around S$420 - S$430. So he said discount a bit from the original price, he gave a best price of S$380 for Z6. Is it cheap enough for you guys? Who would like to change to Z6? PM me and we can arange to go change together. If not, I may go down myself to change.

One thing to take note is that he told me not to go on Saturdays, like tody, cos there is always alot of bikes going there for servicing and repairs, so kind of difficult to chnage for us. i told him maybe a week-day next week.

BTW, ashenz, where is the place that you said sell cheap Royal Purple EO? I asked a friend, he told me that only San-fu brings in RP EO, it cosrs about S$22 - S$23 per bottle of 10W40 (plus changing EO for you). We thot of going to the place you mentioned to get the cheap EO ourselves. Do you mind giving me the exact directions, e.g. shop name and/or addresss?? Sorry for the trouble, Thanks very much in advance.

Learned my lesson...

I am no expert rider nor skillful rider,

but I do find it easier to balance this bike when I rev the rpm up a bit more during a U turn.

Try it, maybe this might help you too.

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Its really really really just a matter of getting used to your bike, along with a few drops maybe. I used to only be a Teck Zui Rider before I became a Fat Junky Rider....

Biting on the fray of my hair, I muse upon the way to find the oasis of evermore beyond the vertical horizon, I shall join the windupdeads in owl city, neither my safetysuit nor my red jumpsuit apparatus can save me, cuz I mistook a death cab for cutie in plain white T's...

Hi guys, really tks for all the advice on how to do a PROPER U-turning!!!

Think i'm still not used to the bike yet, will need more time to pratice...
