by the way my tyre got puncture and i did my own pasting issit okay to ride up to hatyai with it?? can it hold?? coz my tyre very new..

Bro, you better standby alot of the 'tyre worms'. Last time we went up to Thailand, one of the riders got his tyre torn (not just puncture) because of a previous puncture.

*which shop sell tyre cheaper

I think any tire that got a puncture is weaker than original because the hole no matter how you patch up/worm will still makes the tire weaker at the hole area.

Should be alright during normal speed but at extremely high speed might develop problem.

Therefor Bro, slow down a bit lah

change tyre go HKL (planet also can, but need to bargain). if urs is 06' onwards u might change to any tyre, but if urs is 05' or before is advice to change to BT020, BT021, metzeler Z4, Z6. coz me & my fren hv experience that using BT014 & pilot road at front will coz wobble at 70~80km/h.

GPS wise u might get anybrand too, but if wanna save the hassle u might wanna get garmin 60csx.

mine is 01 and i have used pilot road 1 without any problem leh, now i'm using road 2 without any probs too, in fact my fren is riding a 02 and have prob with bt021 front..mayb there are other aspects that we should look at, tire balancing,pressure etc?

I have this prob on my pilot sport when its 90% worn. Once change tires, beautiful.

mine use BT014 while travel at 70~80km/h let go both hand will wobble. hi-speed no prob. think will stick to Z6.

i have been using bt021 with no problem but with just one problem............................................the bike like wanna lie down only when connering..hahahhahaha

 

 

yet to use pilot road 2... maybe next changed...review all not bad,,

 

HKL still the cheapest but need eagle eye when they changing,,

Actually I don't knoe how it happens. All of the sudden on our way back the front tyre just decided to tear. No nails or any sharp object were stuck. My guess is the tyre just torn due to the excessive heat and pressure from the bike. We even try to insert 5 tyre worm at one time but to no avail.

 

What we did then was to pump the tyre using the tyre foam spray (not really sure what the can is called), ask for direction on the nearest bike shop and ride slowly. Upon reaching, the mech put a tube into the supposed tubeless tyre and we rode slowly (below 100km/hr) all the way to Hatyai.

 

In Hatyai, we got a replacement tyre but dimension is only 110 instead of 120 for FJR. Ride back to spore at cruising speed only, then change to a 120 tyre.

no leh, i guess the gas was released enuff for me to wormed the tyres coz i travelled quite far before i realised it..

i've never tried the foam before and i've never heard about the foam thingy affecting the tyres and rims too, sorry bro

 

anyways i think there is no fail safe method to this except by changing your tyre, otherwise better patch it from inside, buy worms to standby and bring along the gas tubes or buy a mini gas pump lor..

I went to HL to have my first free servicing the other day. Was surprised to be escorted out of the area where the mechanic was working. Never before had I been told that I was not allowed to see my bike being serviced

 

I explained that it was the first time my bike was being serviced, so it was the only opportunity for me to see what its like inside when the mechanic opened it, but they weren't buying any of that, and I was told that only mechanics were allowed in that area. Naturally I was pissed. I pay thousands of dollars for the bike, and they tell me I can't see it being serviced?!

how ridiculous is tat!!! if i were u i would ask them to put evrything back and pay them watever it is and send the bike to other shop! i would rather spend more than to let them touch my bike!!!
