Bro, we should seriously do sthing abt this. We should start off a signed petition. All FJRians on the forum should sign a written petition and send it off to HL S'pore and also send a copy to Japan. That'll wake them out of their arrogance.

Count me in if u guys wanna do that..these things at HL must be stopped.J just bcoz they are the yamaha agent but doesn't mean its the only bike in the whole world left.

yo omnislash u should do it man send one good email to japan and tell they abt their conterpart in singapore standard,,, then they will know.. waiting for it man bro,,

Now busy with my work. And other than the first time I go, I nv been there anymore for maintenance. Except sometimes go to the spare parts counter to get stuff. But I still can say lah. Except that I can only quote one example.

Biting on the fray of my hair, I muse upon the way to find the oasis of evermore beyond the vertical horizon, I shall join the windupdeads in owl city, neither my safetysuit nor my red jumpsuit apparatus can save me, cuz I mistook a death cab for cutie in plain white T's...

thought that b4.. but is tooooooo expensive.. :giddy:

from what i know in town no 1 carry this product & no 1 using it..

& yet the cobin seat is not really that comfort like ppl said. according to 1 of our FJR rider is using the yamaha original cobin seat, so so only..

Yo bro... if its the timing chain tensioner problem y dun they just change tat? Its cheaper u know. I'm riding a Yamaha TDM900. Tis bike also facing this small problem (abnormal noise) coming from the timing chain. Usually i will buy the chain tensioner from Auto Machinery and fix it myself... very easy to install one... :thumb:

I am not around when they open up my bike to check and repair so I can't know whether just changing the tensioner will do the job or not. Normally the chain should be replace as well when changing the tensioner because it is a cheap item. And all those gasket should be replaced as well because they are cheap and also to prevent future leakage.

When did I say my bike was 6 month old :faint:

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

If u often go touring esp on NSH, FJR is the bike for u!

cruising at 160, 180km/h is juz a breeze.

STX and FJR's riding posture are different. FJR is a lot lower in turns of sitting position and handlebar position. STX is higher for the handlebar and seat height, IMO. I'm 1.63m, so seat height is a concern for me.

it will depend on what type of rider u are.

but sadly there is not much choices of tourer in Singapore.

imo,

- ST or STX is for those who is more uncle or uncle wanna be. example: simon Soh (sorry simon i know u r not uncle)

- FJR is for those who want raw power yet comfort enuf.

- 14GTR aka kawasaki concorse is for those who want even more raw power yet hi-tech.

- Hayabusa, i agreed it is a hypersports tourer that is still most powerful tourer available.

- Kawasaki ZZR14, try to be busa killer but... (kawa fans dont stalk me ok...)

- blackbird, realiable & affordable tourer yet powerful enuf but riding position..

I agree with you bro ramen71.....

I oso have been following up on this thread and have been doing my research on the various (but limited) tourers in Singapore...

I was initially gunning for the FJR with the YCC-S chip installed but having looked through the history of the bike and the fact that it has been around for 2 years with no effort by HL to bring it in, I decided not to waste my time...

From then on, it was a Head-to-Head between the FJR and the Concourse...I decided to pursue the reason why I took up my Class 2.....

I've only recently passed my Class 2(26 Feb 08 to be exact) but booked my FJR bout 2 weeks ago (with Everbright)...

Now awaiting the arrival of my 'Black Berserker' which is soon to arrive

Hope to be able to meet up and learn more bout the bike from seasoned riders... and hopefully join in ur touring sessions....

2004 - 2006 = Honda Phantom TA200

2006 - 2008 = Yamaha Dragstar Classic 400

2008 - ???? = FJR1300ABS / 08 (hereinafter conferred the name of the 'Black Berserker')
