Sorry, I know this issue have been discussed before in the earlier earlier pages, but can I ask again?

My "right eye" (right front light bulb) is "blind" now. Can only "see" high beam now.

Seniors FJRians, what brand of "eyeball" do you guys suggest for a good long-lasting "sight"? Roughly how much? I am considering to change both bulbs since I believe with the right-sided bulb blown, the life span of the left sided one may be up soon.

I am NOT looking at HID bulbs. I prefer the normal light bulbs with the "yellowish" light. Can I go to HKL, Ah Keong for bulb change too? :)

Thanks, everyone for your advice. :)

for light bulbs i reko philips extream power. is 80% brighter then normal bulbs. can order from powerbulbs UK, the price is quite reasonable, free delivery from UK by UPS. & from what i know, SG selling 80+.http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=43

Thanks very much for your advice and recommendation, Mr mutant_sheep.

Since it says the Philips X-treme Power is fully homologated, can I say it is not a HID bulb? It is a normal conventional "yellowish" light type of bulb?

I am not very sure about the bulbs. So do I have to change the "High beam" bulbs too, if there are any? Or does high and low beam used the same bulbs?

So this Philips X-treme Power is 80% brighter than our stock Yamaha bulbs??

Do you know how much will our stock Yamaha bulbs costs for a pair?

Thanks very much for your time in advicing and recommending.

Thanks!

Mine got burnt a few times before too.

After one side blow, the other side will follow shortly.

Changed bulbs quite a number of times before I found out the real reason.

"The freaking headlight bulb housing unit (or socket) cannot tahan the heat!"

Before that, I was simply wasting my time and effort in going down to the workshop every now and then!

After changing to higher temperature housing unit, no more such problems again.

Costed S$25 nia.

Thanks Casper for sharing. :)

Where and who (which mechanic) can I go to to change to this higher temperature housing unit? Can I check the bulbs there as well?

Thanks! :)

You will be doing your first servicing already ah? So fast reached 1000km liao ah?

Remember not to take any chance by riding your Black Angel. Endure for a while more. April is very near liao... :)

I'm not the one riding lah bang..thanks for ur concern.its my sub rider.he working in changi and live in woodlands so always go up and down sure mileage go up fast.

:btw: can i check with any of u guys..do anyone here already fix VOLTMETER to their FJR? the question is fixing the voltmeter require the fairing and tank to be taken out (workmanship) so that the wire can be connected to the battery which is under the tank itself. Is this true? if it is, how much does the whole process cost and how long will it take? Bcoz i just bought voltmeter lah but they say need very long to do since must take out fairing.

Any comments?

Hi guys, this is stale but can anyone direct or recommend an agent where I can buy insurance for my FJR. I was quoted $935 comp and $926 for F & T from AXA. Their contact number will help. Thanks.
