Yup. Insurance rate not by bike cc, but by the bike's characteristics. Like accident rate & theft rate for example. I took mine in dec 07. It was close to 900, but less than 900 for sure.

Crash_8114, I think what happy_cookies mentioned explains why we didn't get for free. Only the pre-06 models get the free change. Ours can't. But of course, maybe we can try go down together with Kazky also and try argue our case. Since thats 3 unhappy FJRians on their doorstep, they might be forced into giving in.......

Be prepared to wait den. Dun tink you can change immediately. My 1st 2 free servicing wif HL, had to make appointment 3 weeks in advance! else they wun entertain.

As far as I know, Looi's is not HL authorised distributor. Could be a parallel import.

the plan.. 23th may night will ride to kl straight. pubing and all, bike dont worry got one DATUK with us riding fjr too..then sat after check out will head to genting for one night..to enjoy the coolnest...

 

 

budget wise think if not much shopping $250 should be more then enough coz hotel all normal ones..

so far the cheapest is hkl, selling carbon fibre for $1500+ including installation and inspection. the new remus hexacone exhaust for our bike look chio leh, really can't decide which exhaust to fix.

Waiting is ok bro, so long as can confirm that we'll get for free. That would be a big step forward from the current situation of not getting it for free at all. If can get free, then I'll go for it. I don't think I'll take it if have to pay like $250++. I'm not so used to the MPH system; more a case of already used to reading the fine print of the inner KPH markings on the speedometer.

 

I experienced the same advance-booking-only system when I utilised the 2 free servicing. But ok la, can't complain much about that. Afterall, its free plus they have a certain professional feel about the way they do things.

Updates on my bike, bought the parts frm E-bay, turned out that the header is damaged as well, so back to square one, since Christmas eve bike has been down, now last option is to go for the scrap yard, waiting for Ah keong's verdict if he can skin the header, if not than the later will be the final option. there goes my dream only after 4 months of riding....
