I checked on that bike before, is actually a 08 machine, but register on 09. The new one is around 31K, so the diff is only 6K. I give it a skip ;(

Just my sentiments too.. Coz I was quoted 24k without the number plate.. When I went to M1 at changi they offered me 23k without the number plate.. Quite dodgy numbers I skip it too not worth it.. Haha..

This might be a stupid question.... But Has anybody taken their FJR to pasir gudang before? Any comments or experience to share?

Thinking of taking it down to try on may 21st. Anyone keen?

U can try Todak Restaurant, exit from Pasir Gudang highway to the restaurant on stilts takes only 7 to 10 minutes. It is facing Sembawang Shipyard, got S'pore Telco networks. Highly recommended, and cheap somemore. Chilly Crabs, vege, Crab Bee Hoon and Fuyong Egg, 4 dishes for 4 pax only RM90. I believe the kelong belongs to a forummer's father(S'porean).

Hi everybody,

I was quoted $13.8K for a 2006 FJR. $15k OTR

Mileage 100,000km. Engine sounds ok, verified together with my friend as well.

Left side of the bike has quite a deep scratched (2-3cm). overall the exterior is well maintained.

All stock condition. Accessories only voltmeter.

Is it worth buying?

Is this Gen 2? If yes, reasonable price. Where did you buy from?

yahoo[/MENTION].com;7589434]Hi David, Bernard here. How's everything with the bike?

Hi Bernard sorry for the late reply, the bike seems good till date! However I think there is a ticking sound when the bike is idling, been reading online and it seems like it's a tensioner issue?

Thanks for the recommendation to todak, been there before!

FJR-ers, any engine oil and gear oil to recommend for servicing?

And how much EO is required with and without change of oil filter?

3.8L without, 4L with Filter. I reckon Gen I and II same. Gear oil 200ml. Gear oil can use Mobil fully syn from Autobacs. 75w-90 I think.

Biting on the fray of my hair, I muse upon the way to find the oasis of evermore beyond the vertical horizon, I shall join the windupdeads in owl city, neither my safetysuit nor my red jumpsuit apparatus can save me, cuz I mistook a death cab for cutie in plain white T's...

thanks omnislash. what engine oil is recommended?

Any reputable fully syn bah. Up to personal preference. Some use semi syn but change more frquently. I've mainly used Maxima Extra, Motul 300v, royal purple and change at 5000km intervals.

Some oils (eg royal purple) comes in quart packaging so you can use it during the non-oil filter change.

what do you mean by quart packaging? what bike cover size to buy? 4L?

The engine oil comes in 1 quart bottle, which is about 0.946L. 4L is good.
